Wizard World Chicago 2008 – RECAP

Incroyable!  What a weekend.  It seemed to fly by with the quickness but as I rolled up to work this morning I thought, ‘Damn, what’s the security code to get in.’  Meaning it felt like a long time since I’d been to work, so, not so bad after all.

Randy and I have gotten better at packing and traveling to WWC.  When once we used to haul many boxeslike we were moving in, we got it down to a couple of bags and one funny shaped triangle box.  So, we rolled in Friday AM, late as usual and found this.

TOP BILLING!

It was brought up later that me being at the top of the list was probably because I ordered the table. That’s crazy talk if you ask me though.

New Voting Incentive -Guest Art

I got an email from Jamie Sawatsky and we chatted about current pro wrestling and he also dropped a great piece of art of Brooke on me.  I asked if I could make it Voting Incentive, and he gave the okay.  Jamie does the weekly webcomic, 67th Avenue and if you act quickly, he’s got a coloring contest going on now and you still have til the 28th to get it in.  Check out his site to download the image to color and details of the contest.

Wizard World Chicago

Hey everyone, I’ll be attending Wizard World Chicago this coming weekend and I’ll be splitting a table with Lora Innes who’s fantastic work can be seen on a regular basis on the webcomic Dreamer (come for the art, stay for the story) and I will have a limited amount of Rival Angels #1!  I have collected the first 36 pages, full color and manga size for $4, so if you’re coming to the convention be sure to stop by and say HI!  I’ll even hook you up with a sketch of your favorite Rival Angels character to boot.  Of course, My cohort, Radames Malave Jr will be there with me as well.

And sometime in early July, I’ll be taking pre-orders for those interested in purchasing their own copy of Rival Angels #1.  And just in case it bears mentioning, Rival Angels will always be free to read here. 🙂

Oh yeah, it might help if you knew where I was.  Look for table 4218, dig it!
