“Slump buster” explained.
Krystin’s insult to Hell’s Belles includes figuring which of them gets to be the ‘slump buster.’ When a person gets their romantic overtures shot down repeatedly , they lower their usual standards of dating in an attempt to break their ‘slump.’ It’s generally an unattractive person that they normally would have nothing to do with, but are looking to break that streak.

One of my favorite phrases/insults (Slump Buster).
I think I like Lint Licker better but then it doesn’t really fit as well as Slump Buster.
While they are fighting I think the Catgirls will have fun dancing and pick up the pieces later.

Panel 3: I wonder why Katherine always pulled Chloe? I mean when Chloe prepares to attack, as if like Katherine don’t want Chloe to start the first punch?
Panel 4: Brooke is siding with Sabrina… is Brooke still want to be Hell’s Belles’ member?

I wonder when Chloe is still an upstart? did Chloe got to guess in clubs? then someone interrupted her? just like what happen here?
and Chloe always say “I personally put you out of wrestling”

then Security pull them off the stage and out of redline night club
“Slump Buster,” that’s a new one for me, hehe.
It might seem obvious, but the 4th panel where everyone is saying something did a pretty good job of showing off personality of each character rather than a generic insult-fest. I imagine if, in reality, wrestlers stayed in character outside the ring it’d be like this, always cutting promos, even without the cameras, hehe.
Good point, Chris. Or naybethey’ve immersed their real lives into the kayfabe. Rookies are like that LoL
So I’m curious about Sun. Does she view herself as an Upstart still, or in her mind has she taken on the full mantle of Damage Inc? I think they weren’t happy about her coming to Sabrina’s defense. Showing up with the rest of them tonight can’t make them happy either.
I’ll bet she’d get her own bed with Damage, Inc, though!!

MGC, I don’t think Chloe would fight so hard if Kat wasn’t there to hold her back. Chloe’s not silly to think that she can take on 4 girls. Tyler might need security if this gets any more out of hand!
Chris, I’m very glad that panel 4 did it’s job. After all, they can’t turn it off especially when they’re challenged and in public. It’s also me trying to sneak in a promo. 😛
Champ, I think you’re on the right track but the Belle’s are naturally sour and as you can see, it shows.
Hey Lora! Some good questions and they will all be answered before their night is over. We’ll also get Damage Inc’s outlook on Sun’s recent behavior as well. Might be a bit of resentment brewing. Or not. XD If she bunked with Damage Inc, she’d totally get a bunk bed or futon.

@Chris C. – Well, there may be no cameras, but even if “Rival Angels” was scripted wrestling and not 100% real, in that situation the girls would still be in character, as they are there at the club as Rival Angels to help promote it’s grand opening.
Never heard the term Slump Buster myself, and can’t say I really like the term… and that’s not just because I know it would apply to me, honestly! >.>
Damnéd April Fools meaning I missed two updates instead of one! I’ve never really read The Dreamer, so I wouldn’t have gotten it anyway. Sorry Lora. I’ve just started it now though!
Fantasy match speculation time… Might we one day see Hell’s Belles vs The Upstarts? The question then would be, would it be a handicap match, or would the Belles wangle it so one of the Upstarts had to sit the match out? Alternatively, Damage Inc. could point out that Sun has no business being in that match for as long as she’s their intern, so to speak… another alternative, Angel Soprano could enter the match in another attempt to get on the Belles’ good side… any number of other people could interfere too, for that matter, from Amanda Breaker to Sara Valentine, to Vicky Buckingham to Monica Rumble! Ah, possibilities. Wow, looking at all those names there, the Upstarts certainly have gotten themselves deeply involved with the politics and relationships of most of the locker room, haven’t they!
Kat looks pretty though ^.^ She’s the least mouthy currently, too!

So, what are the Hell Bellies doing at the Red Line? And why is Kat wearing those big black boots – does she have gout? I thought Jen bleached her mustache – I can hardly see it!
I love this exchange, but the text flow in the last two panels threw me a bit. I didn’t read the bald guy’s line last in the second to last panel, so I had to go back and re-read.

Stygimoloch, the Dreamer is a fine comic. Come for the art, stay for the story. Hell’s Belles vs Upstarts would definitely be a fine main event and the politics from both groups are going to get clearer in just a few pages. 😉 You can be sure that Damage Inc would have their opinions and make it known in such a state. Certainly a lot of threads there though, eh? XD

GhostEraser, the Belles are fashionable gals, mustaches and all. And Sabrina’s a mouthy, funny thing too. XD The Belles would never resist an opportunity for some press, especially at someone else’s expense.

Tarrasque, you’d think a savvy business owner that could get the Rival Angels girls to show up would know better. Your advice is even more solid in hindsight. Glad you like the bad girls. 😉
And for some reason, I’m particularly drawn to Kat Smith here. Dunno why.
