Chapter: Chapter 13 - Hostile Intent

Merry Christmas!!! I hope its a safe, healthy and very fun christmas for you and everyone!!
Sabrina’s not letting up! It’s kind of hard to tell whether she’s still in rage mode over what Marina told her, or if she realizes that she’s in the ring with a ring vet like Xtina and has to keep the advantage. In either case, it’s working well for her as Xtina can’t get a breather to regroup and that hard suplex on the concrete isn’t helping.
You’ll notice the fans are supporting Sabrina now, but since both girls are fan favorites, you might see that changing back and forth throughout the match. Not really anything about the girls, more about the sometimes fickleness of the crowd. XD

first match.. then after the match they turned each other… and I hope Xtina won’t be a heel!!

Nice on the design and flow of the action, the turnbuckle dropkick reminded me of vintage Jeff Hardy, you can really see the intensity of Sabrina right now in the match. If Sabrina keeps this up it will be a quick match, focused rage ftw. They are outside ring right now and Sabrina has to get Xtina back in the ring and kept the advantage which could be the catch for rookie versus the vet.
I may be overthinking it, but I think the fact that Sabrina is actually doing wrestling moves is a good sign of her focus; if she were just attacking out of blind rage, I imagine she’d be doing a bit more brawling. Very nice work on the headstand dropkick in the corner and the fisherman’s suplex on the outside.
Merry Christmas and all I want as a present is a Rival Angels t-shirt.

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year to Albone (Keep up the good) and every reader and My favourite Rival Angel wrestler, Sabrina.(Hey, I know she a comic strip character)
looks like Brina’s continuing to mess up whatever gameplan Xtina had in mind for this match. and by chasing Xtina outside the ring instead of staying in to bask in the crowd’s support she seems to be showing…dare i say… the “F” word… focus?!?!?! i mean she even had time in panel 4 to make sure the attack looks good on camera and get a good shot of her while she’s dishing out the punishment (note Brina’s looking at the camera not Xtina). crowd seems to be in favor of the high octane offense as well.
wow jeff actually paid Xtina a compliment in panel 3- see told you the poor guy would be lost without a true heel to root for. don;t worry Dawn, i don;t see a squash in the works. i’m thinking Brina gets back into the ring to break the count then when she goes after Xtina again, the vet will either pull Brina out on her own tuerms or Brina’s gonna crash and burn with a high risk move. Then Xtin-eration Carpenter will be able to gte her game plan going.
Smoke her, Sabrina! Smoke her good!
Some of the best matches I remember from back in the day were emotion-charged one-siders. The best I remember was when the Ultimate Warrior handed Andre the Giant his booty in 45 seconds, in a time where Andre NEVER lost.
Sometimes its good to see the hero is packing heat, and that the heels, no matter how big, have to worry about them. 🙂

Merry Christmas man and DAMN Sabrina lit Xtina up! lol As long as she doesn’t make a mistake or completely blow her top she’s gonna win this thing without a problem. And hell, when she’s wrestling like this…I’m not really going to argue it. Great stuff man!
Best get back in the ring, or you’re going to get counted out. Both of you. Seriously, if there’s one thing I dislike, it’s when they take the fight outside the ring and it’s not a No Countout match. Do they like flirting with a loss they really could have avoided? It’s like Undertaker vs. Randy Orton in the first round of the Superstar of the Year Tournament on last Monday’s Raw. Ignore everything else if you know it’s not No Countout: Get back in the bloody ring! Of course, they wanted it to be Cena vs. Orton for the Superstar of the Year, but if it were me, I’d have thrown a monkey wrench in that plan and went for the win to move on. What would Vince have done to Taker? Stripped him of the title under the guise of him being beaten by someone?

MGC, you’ll have to keep watching to see how these two end up. Xtina going heel wouldn’t be so bad, would it? LOL jk She’s got it pretty good as a face. If you think about it, Sabrina only gets along with non-faces. 😉
jabberwocky, she was total channelling Jeff Hardy there. Not bad, eh? XD Sabrina does need to Xtina in the ring to win, but she has won before via countout before against Susy Love. 😉 But yeah, the transition from outside to in would be a great time for a counter offensive for Xtina.
Chris, I’ve been thinking of Rival Angels T-shirts but I’m trying to think of what to do first. Should it be wrestling action, should it be kind of a slogan T, or maybe a chibli? I agree with you about Sabrina’s focus. She’s still pretty miffed and that’s why she’s probably not playing to the crowd, but she’s methodically going to work on the ring vet.

Right on, jpiv. Xtina is off center because Sabrina has changed up her usual gameplan and having trouble regrouping. Sabrina wouldn’t be Sabrina if she didn’t try to look good while laying out a beating. lol The crowd is loving this match so far and hopefully you guys are too. 😀 Jeff probably won’t be as potent as he could be without a true heel to root for and Sabrina’s new top isn’t helping. XD Nice prediction on Xtina-eration’s come back. Will it happen? More to come on Monday!

FuzzyDruid, what an excellent comparison! And yeah, Xtina is in a spot where she has to respect and even worry about Sabrina, which was definitely missing from Xtina before this match started. Xtina’s not going to make that mistake again.

Hey Tarrasque! Sound advice for both girls! Sabrina’s won a match via countout before and she definitely doesn’t want to lose that way. This is more of an example of Xtina using her knowledge and the 20 count to her advantage, but Sabrina taking that away. At least right now.
As far as an inaugural shirt for Rival Angels goes, hmmm, I know I personally would like something showing off the Upstart Girls (mainly because I really want a shirt with Sun and Def Tech on it, but it wouldn’t make sense to just make a shirt of the 2 of them together, hehe). Though it would make sense for a first shirt to show off a bit more of what the comic is about, so wrestling action might be a good idea. All I know is whatever it is, I’m buying it whenever it comes out, hehe.
Cool! Glad to have your thoughts on a T-shirt. I’ve been trying to work on one, but I think I’ll do it one at a time so I’m trying to narrow down a good one to start with. Very happy to hear that I got your support for this too! 😀

I also agree that it looks like Sabrina is showing signs of focus rather than just being in “Ultra Smash” mode. Maybe the new top is forcing more blood to her brain!
Nomination, noted. XD No, I think those signs were made like that, but you can’t put it past the fans to improv some signs on the spot. They’re clever like that. 😉 It would seem that the new top is paying off!
