Page 261 – Numb
Thankfully, the fight between Sabrina and Sun is over but the cost was high. Sabrina might’ve had the last word with her fight with Sun but you’d never know it. There’s too much emotion there and Brooke’s not really being helpful, even if she’s trying to be supportive in her own way. So much emotion that Sabrina has kind of shut down. She’s got the same questions that you might have: what now? That was a monster fight and the wounds are going to take a while to heal. If you think about it, these two did a fine job of balancing each other out personality wise, so what happens with them now without each other’s influence?
Is it possible that Sabrina might find some comfort in two people that haven’t shown much support in the past, her roommates Krystin and Brooke? More to come on Monday, as Lora’s chapter continues and maybe a surprise or two.
Ahhhh yes… there’s Brooke trying to capitalize on another person’s success… At some point is she going to grow a backbone and focus on her career or is she just going to coast on by and then fall by the way side… I could see the assistant commissioner getting tired of her after a while and finding the next big… I mean best thing or the wife finding out.
As for Sabrina and Sun, I could see this being a long term grudge match with redemption for Sun in the end… possibly but that would take time.
Marina I don’t know really to be honest she’s just kinda ‘there’ we know she’s focused and into this for her career but it’s like one of the Baldwin brothers, you know he’s famous but he’s just there.. ya know?
I meant Krystin not Marina.. now my Analogy is ruined… <hari kari>

But as for the comic, this is a rough time for sabrina, and brooke is trying her best to be supportive but she just doesnt get it. Krystin on the other hand does. This is where krystin can come into her own a bit more, leave brooke behind as she realises that brooke actually is that bimboish that she doesnt understand why brina is hurting and so gets fustrated with her, the two argue again and brooke storms off feeling hard done to leaving krystin and brina with some time to connect
What’s funny here is as much as we feel Brooke is coming off like a self absorbed moron it might be exactly what Sabrina needs to hear. As long as the three have known each other Sabrina knows those girls personalities better than anyone. Even though Brooke may look like she’s not being helpful, Sabrina may actually appreciate the effort that Brooke is at least TRYING to make her feel better. Even though it probably isn’t going to help. Can’t wait till Monday’s page to see what Sabrina says!

well in private i think that probably Sab will be sad for a while but i think her attitude will change a bit in the ring. im looking forward to see that in her next match, probably Ultra girl will shout ” I…AM…ULTRAGIRL” like MGC said.. well i wish… and be merciless on her opponents. 😛
I think those tears will cause Sab to get a harder personality and be a little less sensitive, we can see that often when peole get hurt in her feeling they change and get kinda an armor for the futur. Its a natural reaction agains the pains.
::gives Brooke a cookie sprinkled heavily with Shut Up:: I for one would probably enjoy seeing Sabrina punt Brooke, but street brawling would be bad for her career. But I’m sure Marina knows enough kung fu to have bound and gagged Brooke by next week, so the cheer-up speech can commence.
I think that brooke is writing a check with her mouth that her back side can not cash. Not with JUST sabrina but with Sun too.. because it WILL get back to sun that brooke was talking crap. Plus come on we all know how brooke is.. the second sabrina’s back is turned brooke will be with sun spouting “Oh my god I can’t believe that bottle blond skank would do that to you doesn’t she know you’re wrestling royalty.. you should teach her a lesson” blah blah blah blah. Lets just hope that Sun isn’t in the mindframe to listen to brooke’s heelish whispers 🙁 I am proud of Krystin though.. she seems to be honestly upset for sabrina.. good I was hoping she’d step up, I hated feeling that she was pretty colorless story wise.

Ha ha Kurt! Â Nice Harry Kari ode. 😛 Â Nine analogy with Krystin. Â I’ve heard her compared to the Olsen sisters too. XD Â You bring up a good point about Brooke. Â She does need to shape up if she’s going to be taken seriously, especially if Michael and her split. Â The future is wide open when it comes to Sabrina and Sun, for better or worse but you seem to have a good feel for them.
MGC, as much anti-emo as I am, it couldn’t be helped with Sabrina. Â She’s sad. Â Devastated!! Â She just had the most horrible fight of her life and really feeling it. Â Remember that Sun went off on Krystin and Brooke so Brooke complimenting Sabrina is as much encouragement for Sabrina as it is a slap against Sun. Â As if sullying the good name of Brooke was the reason why Sun got beat. Â I do agree with you that Sabrina should be standing proud and strong, but until she can get over this fight, she’ll be down in the dumps. Â There is a chance that Krystin and Brooke might be able to get her back on track.
T-M, I’ve got to look up Deathnote because the reference is lost on me. 😛 Â Yeah, Krystin is stepping up being the supportive one and Brooke is too, in her own way. Â I like what you forsee for the future. Â I think you’ll enjoy what’s coming up next.
RAWF, I think you hit the nail on the head.  If Sabrina could muster it up, she’d probably be appreciative of Brooke’s attempts, though still be  sad to accept it because it’d be at Sun’s expense. Right now, Krystin and Brooke are being supportive even if they aren’t 100% successful in that.  Of course, there’s always Monday…
Hey Svan! Â An experience like this is bound to make Sabrina a bit more resilient to harsh world of pro wrestling. Â How soon will it show? Â Who knows. Â Because Sabrina is strong and determined but also lead by a sense of fair play so it’ll be interesting to see how well the two mix. And the call for ‘I….AM….ULTRAGIRL,’ continues. XD

Drew, you’re probably right about this getting back to Sun. Â It’s just a matter of what Sun will do when she does hear about it. Â As to Brooke playing both sides…..veeeeeery interesting. 😀 Â I think you got it right about Krystin….she’s in the last two panels of the update. Â Marina is vocal in the second panel.

ah Brooke, she got the least room to talk abotu supporting the Upstarts. she been trying to stab Sabrina in the back i nday one and hasn’t been at the hosue in gof only knows how many days?makes me sick to see a leech like her make those comments.Krystin may or may not get closer to Sabrina now but a possablity she could have ehr eyes opened to how lil of a team the Upstarts really are now that Sun is gone.
Sun and Krystin always seemed to be a bit of a ying/yang thing. Sun had been the fan favorite but is more than happy to break the rules if that’s what it takes to win. Krystin actually has more of the “face” mentality trying to clean things up in wrestling but has a bit of a C.M.Punk way of doing it (confrotning Sara Valentine who the crowd liked for her flirtations) which turns the fans against her. Now with Sun going heelish, Krystin steps up to become the shoulder Sabrina needs to cry on to maintain the Sun/krystin balance. Brooke on the other hand probably thinks “hey i hate Sun because she sees through me more and now’s my chance to get Sabrina on my side for a change.”
It’s seems to me someone needs a superkick into a window, with a witty comment from Sabrina. Something like “Is this what you mean about taking my career seriously?” Of course this should happen when the fans learn about Sun’s betrayal, when “faces” commit extreme heel acts it equals high rates.
JPIV has a good point about Krystin. It might turn out that she ends up being Sabrina’s real friend out of the original group, where originally we thought Sun would fill that role.
Well, it’s interesting to see the aftermath (or aftermatch). Liked the drawing in the middle w/ Sabrina in the park. Also the “Don’t bother me NOW!” kind of remark our gal shot to Marina. Brooke’s and Kristin’s turn, especially Kristin’s, is decent. But I’m wondering if a new Upstart is going to replace Sun now.Â
Also, watching SHIMMER v. 1, I noticed the announcer called one girl the “definition of technician” and wondered if you’d pinched the phrase from there. ;-)Â Take care.
Krystin could become Sabrina’s new tag team partner for a while! And I’d love to see Sun V.S. Brooke/Aphrodite with “Lil Dragon” picking up the win and teaching that slut a lesson!

Jenn, you’re in good company with how you feel about Brooke and her sudden support. Â With Krystin, its more that she’s responding to the situation. Â If Sabrina were in a better frame of mind, she might not be as understanding. Â Or maybe she’s just mellowed out a bit?
Hey jpiv, great contrast and comparison with Krystin and Sun. Â The yin/yang comparison is solid so Krystin stepping in for Sabrina in her time of need might not be so clunky. Â Brooke is Brooke and will probably be more interested in looking out for herself and her short sighted goals.

Hey Pedro! Â I think Sabrina and Krystin would be an unbelievable tag team, though I think Sabrina would always have more fun with Sun in a tag match. Â Sun vs Brooke would be outstanding and something that I’m sure Sun would look forward to.
