In case you forgot, the top three panels are Akira, Kyle and Tommy. But you knew that, right? XD Is anyone surprised that Sun was a champion in the developmental league? She was champ, and was well liked. She had good referrals too, going back to the first three panels again.
Fitting that this chapter ends with Gabrielle. She’s got an eye for talent and shark blood running through her veins. The rest, as they say, is history.
I hope you enjoyed this look into Sun’s past. It’s going to set things up nicely in the future. I also hope you enjoyed Justin’s work on this run. He’s always involved in the writing, but this was all him. Be sure to let him know what a great job he did on this chapter! 😀
As for next chapter, maybe we’ll get around to that super secret, important question that Sun had for Sabrina.

Well, that was short chapter. Only 12 pages. Compared to chapter 9 who has 43 pages. This chapter is just almost one third of it.
But at least we could get back to the current in-ring actio…. oh wait! I forgot, the in-ring action has ended. The next chapter is the backstage drama chapter. Can’t wait about it, hopefully it’s not that long so we could get back to the action as soon as possible and see what’s next in the TV tournament.

Sun to be CCW champion..Sun at 113lbs to be a CCW champion, unbelievable.. still scrathing my head for Sun being the champion.. just can’t believe Sun is a CCW.. it really caught me off guard..

Justin Riley’s story of Rival Angels Special: Origin of Sun is great.. and Sun’s loss turned and comeback is the great.. hard lesson in life.. The drama between Sun and her mom. in which her mom is angry and disagreed Sun to be in wrestling.
coming, Sun’s secret to Sabrina…’Sun is joining the Damage Inc’ but Sun won’t tell that, if Sabrina wins the TV belt, the number 1 contender will be Sun.. could it be it? hehehh.. I really got the chills in this Sun VS Sabrina bit.. chills to the bones..
Wow – two years in CCW! How long did Sabrina stay in developmental – six months? Another big difference – no wonder everyone’s gunning for Sabrina, she’s yet to prove herself over time, and most everyone would see her as an upstart, or a shooting star. But the fans love an underdog (but not an underhanded underdog – like Brooke “eye candy” lummox).

Thanks for Sun’s background. We now know that she and Sabrina share a similar work ethic and high morals (well, certainly higher than what we’ve seen from a few others).
Interesting. Sun being the champion on her last fed while Sabrina is a upstart but gaining a lot of popularity when she wrestles. Never crossed in my mind that their small leauge careers have gone different, considering the are best friends and almost had similar styles, execept that Sun will bend the rules if necessary. I like this comic so far. I agree to what GhostEraser just said, both wrestlers had similar work ethic which is another reason why they both get along so well, except that Sabrina gets signed after her short stint in the minors, while Sun has won a title, which would make her more likable than ever. Nice story.
PS2kid, hopefully the out-of-ring stuff will keep your interest. Definitely some dramatic and entertaining elements to come.

Hey MGC! Glad you liked the Kyle panel, that guy is hilarious. I KNEW you’d be interested in Sun’s championship. She’s like Rey Mysterio, little but talented and a champion. Justin does good work which you guys don’t always get to see, but he’s always looking over the scripts and making sure that they’re tight. As to what Sun needs from Sabrina, we’ll find out very shortly.
Yep, Ghosteraser, Sun definitely put in some ring time. Sabrina’s time in developmental was a mere 10 weeks! I’ve tried to show that in the comic, with Sun handling Valentine fairly well but Sabrina struggling. Fans DO love their underdogs and you have to think that Sun’s smaller stature puts her in that category more often than not, at least for now.
Hey Yuri! I’m glad you liked the chapter! It was really a lot of fun to do and I look forward to when I can showcase another angel in that matter. I’m thrilled that you picked up on the dynamic between Sabrina and Sun and their training careers. It’s going to come into play down the road, if you get my drift. 😉
Great past story of Sun. She work really hard getten where she is. She is one of my favourite along with Sabrina.

Also I like it when Sun say to her fans, that they are her friends when she top and like a famliy she need when she down. And also say before that, that she couldn’t be who she is if it wasn’t for the fans. She seem a nice person. Even in Episode 155,156 & 162 when she got ayonnied with some fans.
Sun has definite love for her friends in Carolina, but she basically had to start over again in Rival Angels, at least with the fans. Â It wasn’t a quick process the first time and certainly isn’t quick this time. Â I think Sun’s a nice person. She certainly gets along with Sabrina, who is a bonafide nice girl. 😛
