Page 175 – You’re Welcome
Brooke’s actions have a been a bit of a game changer. Where before, Sabrina was happy to have her friends watching her back, either at ringside or watching out for her in the back. Now, she feels obligated to go it alone to show people like Monica that she isn’t successful because she has friends. What that means, unless her friends can talk her out of it, is that Sabrina will be going against Jennifer on her own, but we really know that means; Jennifer plus the other members of Hell’s Belles. We saw what happens to people that fight Hell’s Belles members one on one, like in the case of Monica. So yeah, a bit of a game changer here, one that could benefit Brooke and Hell’s Belles.
But this discussion isn’t over, and you might have some questions yourself, which just might be answered on the next update. 😉
The title of this page, ‘You’re Welcome,’ reminds me of that really awesome Season 5 episode of Angel. Completely out of context as there’s no jaw-dropping phone call at the end, but I’m geek-happy to have do a nod to it, even if its just the same title. XD
Yikes! Man oh man, now Sabrina is in danger. Now, things that could happen:
– Jennifer defeat Sabrina, with the help of Hell’s Belles of course
– Sabrina defeat Jennifer ….. by DQ! Ref saw Hell’s Belles interfering or something else, thus giving the win to Sabrina. But of course, this would end with a nasty beatdown by the Belles toward Sabrina
– Sabrina defeat Jennifer cleanly, but with the help of the Upstart girls insist to come to the ringside and distract the other member of Hell’s Belles. Of course this could lead to some bickering from Sabrina toward whoever Upstart girls decided to help her.
– Jennifer defeat Sabrina, because Aphrodite/Brooke try to “help” Sabrina and it backfire (intentionally of course) causing Sabrina to lose, by DQ or clean.
I like the sound of that ps2kid.. Jennifer defeat Sabrina.. heheheh..

Panel 3: big question (?) Why the Hell “GoDDess Aphrodite” Brooke Lennox went back to the upstart locker room? I mean Sabrina, Brooke, Sun didn’t know that “GoDDess Aphrodite” change gimmick.. now she went to the upstart girls locker room? and yah! right “GoDDess Aphrodite” Brooke Lennox fears “Ultagirl” Sabrina Mancini.. tsk tsk.. what a humiation.. tsk tsk..

the upstart stable is breaker apart.. everyone has their own objective.. I kinda think Krystin Moline is only one who is neutral.. I begin to like Krystin Moline, coz she change from grumpy to cooperative to the team.. and she’s the mature one in the stable..
I really like this episode.. THE TRAGIC… ahh!! Tragic!!define the essence of drama.. in which Rival ANgel has drama genre..

Sorry, you two, but UltraGirl is going to beat the Pin Head – maybe not easily, but beat none-the-less. Of course, I’ve been wrong a couple hundred times or so – this could be one of them.
So, Brooke “The Hammer” is a great wrestler/fighter? Maybe when her opponent is already injured… I just noticed Brooke’s look of concern in the last panel… Could it be that she had other plans that are now in jeopardy – like distracting the ref while the Hell Bellies decimate Sabrina? Remember, Sabrina’s elbow is probably still sore from her encounter with Jeff’s table (which is definitely not the kind of encounter Brooke would have)…
Too bad that Monika is going to be out of action for several months, if not forever, because there’s nothing better than revenge on someone who desperately deserves it.
Have a feeling Brooke just might enter the ring to help out ‘Brina despite her wishes.

You’re forgetting one more possibility, ps2kid… Sabrina wins despite Needles getting help and without the Upstarts. It does happen. Heels, even in stables, loose cleanly despite their stable’s best efforts. Especially when the one in the ring is a weak link, like I still think Jen is.
I think Jennifer is to the Hell’s Belles what Sick Boy was to Raven’s Flock in old WCW. A glorified cheerleader that gets beat down regularly and either has to be saved, or is left to take the abuse.
MGC: Why did Aphrodite go back to the Upstarts dressing room? Simple, she’s still an Upstart. She may not belong there, but until Gabi changes it, she’s part of the group. It’s why she still lives in the house officially, despite having an apartment from her worshiper.
As for her taking care of Monica… that was perfect heel style taking care of. Can’t blame her for being what she is, and -FINALLY- doing it well! Go Aphrodite!
Looking forward to Sabrina’s match. She’s a very emotion driven figure and she should be pissed enough to really thrash Jennifer Needles.
Sorry for a double post, but after stepping away briefly, I realized that I should probably explain more, since I’ve been very anti Needles, despite really liking the Marquis and Wild Kat a great deal, and it ties into my comments about the Upstarts.
The Upstarts are not a stable. They’re the new kids and thrown together by Rini to be something to stir ratings. Why else put a face, two tweeners that lean opposite directions, and a heel together? If it was all away from the ring, I’d say it was to teach each of them something the others have. Sabrina’s dedication. Krystin’s focus. Sun’s strength of character design. Brooke’s… uh… I’m sure she brought something beside boobs. *cough*
Anyway, unlike this group, the Hell’s Belles are a faction. They’re meant to be together and they have something that binds them. Chloe lives the Belle’s mentality. It’s in everything she does, from talking to the commissioner to watching the shows in her skybox, to talking to the fans about the TV title. She -is- the Marquis. It’s no more a character for her than Ultragirl is a character for Sabrina.
Kat has this as well, but she wears it like a coat. When she’s being Wild Kat, she’s got it in spades. When she’s just being herself, she’s got a different feel to who she is, like Sun needing a moment to get in character to talk to fans. She still belongs though.
Then there’s Jennifer. She has about as much of the Hell’s Belles je ne sais quoi as Lola and Luna have snappy reparte. She doesn’t belong. She doesn’t fit. She’s not a good choice for the Belle’s and she’s only there because she’s a friend of Kat’s. If Jennifer loses her match, especially if Angel shows Chloe something, I can see Jennifer being booted from the Belles… literally.
You said it, ps2kid!! Â Sabrina’s got her mind made up, and your choices are very good for what could happen to our little Ultragirl. Â Its going to be fun to see what actually happens.
I actually meant Angel the TV show… But, yeah, can’t wait to see li’l Soprano. Gots my computer back, so now I can show off my new mad painting skillz! What’s Angel’s finisher? Maybe I’ll replace Brooke with Soprano in the comic that you’ll prolly never get.
On second look of the current page, Sabrina looks a little saggy in the basement. And, thanks for the ropable. It’s really <insert weird Canadian idiom here>!
Where do I start? Brooke/ Aphrodite, the GoDDess of Love, who shows it by beating the crap out of people, is tough to figure out here… she claims she did it to ‘help’ Sabrina. Huh? Monica isn’t in the TV tournament anymore, and I seriously doubt she’d interfere with the Sabrina/ Jennifer Needles match, even with all the guilttripping at the last match.
Panel three: gotta love the fear in Aphrodite’s face… she wasn’t expecting Sabrina to be all upset. Krystin looks angry… I can think of at least three reasons why that might be ( maybe it’s all at the same time: a) getting involved with Brooke and her fire Sabrina plan, b) that Brooke got the over the top makeover, and c) she’s hiding behind her ) .  Sun is the voice of Ninja Reason, too bad ‘Brina isn’t listening.Â
Panel four: Still more Ninja Reasoning from Sun… Knowing her, it makes sense she would take this as an opportunity to build a mean spirited image for the Rival Angels internal politics ( something I have a feeling we’re gonna see more of Real Soon Now ). Sabrina is the Voice of Righteousness here, she’s not saying that to posture, it’s because she believes what she’s saying. Again, we’ll see if that idealism survives…
Panel five: Sabrina makes her grand declaration… and she’s looking at Sun when she says it. There’s a message in there somewhere. Note the return of Sabrina’s tatoo… but I think she should pull her pants up. She wouldn’t want them to fall and trip herself later.
Overall, the lack of horizontal lines stands out; things are not in the least calm or settled. There’s even a little Action Hair to highlight the emotional states of the girls, especially in panel five where Sabrina’s hair parts in back, a symbol that she’s separate from the Upstarts this match. Sabrina rarely uses harsh language so she is clearly in a state of rage, hopefully she’s calmer for the bout with Miz Needles.

“Killshot” (D.V.D.) is Angel Soprano’s finisher.. Death Valley Driver is used by “GoDDess Aphrodite” Brooke Lennox against “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini on episode 53..
I really have to question this.. Angel Soprano, I guess she’s a lightweight.. maybe at 100-120 pounds.. then her finisher is Death Valley Driver.. I can’t believe it..

Ever hear of the Michinoku Driver? Same move by a cruiserweight. Huricane Helms and Stivie Richards both used chokeslams. Chris Jerricho used to use -repeating- powerbombs. He’d hit two that he held on through, then throw the guy down for the third. None of them are powerhouses, and they all used power moves. It happens.

I guess.. and another point, “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini also used the Michinoku Driver on episode 2 against Danielle Perfection..
I’m thinking.. let’s say Angel Soprano is around 110 lbs. she couldn’t used the finisher against Lover Lola or Katherine Smith, right? I mean she don’t have the power to carry them..

Salazen said it best with smaller guys using bigger moves. Â You also might be overthinking it or underestimating Angel. She’s not a weakling. Â She wouldn’t be able to use it against Luna or Breaker, but I think anyone else is fair game.Â
