I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Anyone back to work already?
Looks like things got worked out from last update, no punches thrown! And Sun begrudgingly taking pictures with the fans. Ha!! A little bit of a promo there by Sabrina about her upcoming match and you just know that Sun is praying that the Hell’s Belles get involved. Sabrina is cautiously confident, and she’s got to project an optimistic attitude for her fans.
What’s this though, when WAS the last time Sabrina lost? Not too long ago as we can see and for any ‘LOST’ fans, just imagine that floor shaking music that we get when we’re about to be taken on a flashback.
Good again, Albone! I hate to seem critical again, but I think you shoulda had SOME depicting of the settlement between Sabrina and the angry female fan. After all, you set us up and then didn’t show us the denouement…remember the old adage that if you show a gun in Act 1, you’ve gotta shoot somebody before the play is over!
I really don’t know what’s going on here.. it’s like a miss an episode or something. I re-check the last episode. it seems that Sheila. is ready to whoop someone’s ass. now, we see Sheila and Marcus together with Sun posing for a picture. what just happen?

another thing.. Sun here, smiling? last episode she shove Marcus? now they’re okay? ah?  help?

Panel 4: So it that means Sun will be in Sabrina’s corner.. Sabrina VS Jennifer.. So that means Sun won’t be having a match? 🙁
and Sabrina is speaking about Jennifer Needles, I kinda wish on panel 5 will be showing Jennifer Needles, sneazing, coz Sabrina is talking about Jennifer Needles..

Sabrina having a flashback.. IÂ hope we can see on the next episode what is Sabrina thinking about the flashback. could it be “Latina Chick” Loretta Diaz or Danielle Perfection?

I remembered when Liz (Dreamer) took a picture with Sun.. in which posted on the voting incentives.. in which Liz wearing “I just got Ninja’D” T-shirt. looking back on that.. Sun isn’t smiling.. now Panel 1: Sun is smiling.. even though Marcus isn’t wearing Sun’s merchandise T-shirt.. “Ninja Princess” , “I just got Ninja’D” , Rising Sun” T-shirts
could it be Sabrina pursuade Sun on being cool to the fans?
Panel 5: Marcus asked Sabrina “When was the last time you lost a match, Sabrina?” hmm.. could it be that Marcus isn’t really.. I’m mean a true fan of Sabrina? could be that, Marcus is playing cool on Sabrina coz she’s in front of Sabrina.. but in Marcus’ feeling she is not.. I’m like lying in front of Sabrina, coz she’s in front but when Sabrina is not in front of him.. Marcus is a Hell’s Belle fan?

Hmmm.. episode 155 and this episode.. most of wordings.. like in episode 155, Marcus saying “I hope you kick Needles ass”, and now a fan said “are you going to beat the Hell’s Belle bitch?”
review: episode 155 Panel 1.. there are 11 fans staring at Sun and Sabrina. now of those 11 fans, how come no one said to Sabrina “Sabrina, your chances of winning against Jennifer are slim.. 0 chances of winning.” I mean favoring the Hell’s Belle.. episode 156.. panel 3: in which cut short. I kinda think it increase.. let say, from 11 in episode 155, now it’s 21. upon those 21 fans, how come noone is a Hell’s Belle fan.. there must be one or two Hell’s Belle fan..
I kinda recall “Rival Angels” genre is “Real Life” so I kinda think in real life, there will be + (Positive) – (Negative) some will are Hell’s Belles fan and Sabrina fans.. I’m just saying..
Hey guys, sorry about any confusion about what happened with Sheila and Sun. I thought it would be obvious that she lost her nerve going over there and with Sabrina there to smooth things out, we go from angry ‘keeping it real,’ to more fan friendly encounter. Does adding the bit about time help here? (I added ‘a few moments later.)
No worries darkmark, I appreciate the complimentary and critical comments. Both help me grow as a artist, writer and creator.
MGC, the final card is finalized for the next Monday Night Meltdown, but we’ll have to wait to see what it is. I may give a sneak peek of what the linup on the forum though. As far as why no one is saying that Sabrina is going to lose, I just don’t think anyone is that rude. Maybe you and I have had different experiences but I’ve never seen anything like you want me to show. Example, when I got my picture taken with Gail Kim, no one said, ‘Hey Gail, you have no chance of beating Awesome Kong. Zero.’ Fans do say stupid things but I don’t know that they’re that obnoxious. That’s what the internet is for, slamming people anonymously.

Hey, now that I have my own internet and I’m not updating EVERY SINGLE DAY, I have a chance to read up on some other comics. Â I like Sun! Â She reminds me of Buttercup, my favorite Powerpuff girl. XD
Glad to hear it Yamino, what would we do without the internet? XD Definitely let me know what you think of Rival Angels when you get a chance. And yeah, Sun is a lot like Buttercup, the Powderpuff girls rule! XD
Hmmm… at first I thought I’d missed an update; I just chalked it up to a little time jump, after all these folks are still on Nov 3rd, 2008, and Sabrina’s only been in the big league a month. I’m supposing in one of the bits we didn’t see Sabrina went to Fan Appreciation 101 while the Lil’ Dragon skipped that class ( seeing as ninjas aren’t much into PR and all).
Alan, good work with improving the art especially when it comes to perspective. You are doing well when depicting the people from above and below as the point of view changes, for some reason Sabrina’s eyes were a challenge and you’ve been drawing them spot on .
In panel four I thought that was Zombie Luna… doesn’t look much like Sun. Is Sabrina having a flashback?
Compare panel four with panel two of ep 117 ( 9 26 2008, the most recent depiction of Sun from that angle I could find on short notice ) and you see Sun’s eyebrows are flatter and the right side of her jaw is rounded out, compared with Luna’s more beaklike jaw. Is this an attempt to make Sun look more sarcastic?
Wow… the comic is coming up on a whole year with no missed updates!!! That is quite an accomplishment and I hope you continue with still more fun to read episodes.
I haven’t been commenting much lately but I’n still reading and still voting.
