But donuts with wine? Really? What side of the tracks they they come from anyway. Everyone knows donuts go better with beer!
Comfort foods I’d recommend: real macaroni & cheese (real stuff made with real cheese and baked in an oven), homemade Twinkies with rum in the Creme filling, Monte Cristos (’nuff said).
Sorry Bren, but as usual, when it comes to food, you’ve made the wrong choices. Donuts are massively sweet, and one-note besides. You can pair desserts with beer, but typically something with some more bitter notes, like a dark chocolate torte paired with a rich stout or sour beer, or something with tartness paired with something fruity like a lambic.
A dessert wine would pair better with donuts than any beer.
WHY would anyone want to ruin perfectly good donuts with wine or beer? bleah!
