I’ve been featured in an interview with Indy Comic News. Â The interview is less about what’s going with the Rival Angels story and more about publishing, the economy and other plans for 2009. Â Go ahead and give it a read and let me know what you think.

The last comic convention of the year for me is in the bag and I have to say it outproduced every and all expectations that I had! First of all, it was great meeting everyone! My throat was actually sore after the con and all of the next day. I sold as many Rival Angels books in one day at FallCon as I did at one day at Wizard World. The difference is that WW had at least two to three times the attendence, so very cool. Its important to note, that I improved my selling pitch quite a bit. In Wizard World, the pitch was this long, awkward thing. Now, its pretty straight and to the point and I wish I would’ve thought of it sooner. XD The Brooke print, once again, was the favorite of the day. Not really sure why.
Because of the 5 1/2 hour drive, we ended up getting to the con right as it opened so after registration, we were a few minutes late, but it turns out that people were already at our table looking for Rival Angels! After a quick setup and introduction to our neighbors, things started cooking. More after the jump…. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

Hey everyone, I’ll be attending Wizard World Chicago this coming weekend and I’ll be splitting a table with Lora Innes who’s fantastic work can be seen on a regular basis on the webcomic Dreamer (come for the art, stay for the story) and I will have a limited amount of Rival Angels #1! Â I have collected the first 36 pages, full color and manga size for $4, so if you’re coming to the convention be sure to stop by and say HI! Â I’ll even hook you up with a sketch of your favorite Rival Angels character to boot. Â Of course, My cohort, Radames Malave Jr will be there with me as well.
And sometime in early July, I’ll be taking pre-orders for those interested in purchasing their own copy of Rival Angels #1. Â And just in case it bears mentioning, Rival Angels will always be free to read here.
Oh yeah, it might help if you knew where I was. Â Look for table 4218, dig it!

Some really cool news, the fine folks over at Drunkduck have featured Rival Angels! Â What’s cool about that is they pick a few comics every week out of thousands and put them on the front page as recommended reading. Â Not only that, but the ever cool and awesome skoolmunkee had this to say about Rival Angels:
“That’s right, it’s a comic about beautiful women who wrestle each other for fun and profit. Is there a problem with that? I didn’t think so. Of course there is more to Rival Angels than that. For instance, main character Sabrina Mancini is stuggling to get her career going despite professional and personal rivalries… But really, a comic about revealingly-clad babes getting all rough and sweaty with each other? What are you waiting for? (Admit it, you wish this comic was yours.)”
Thanks Drunkduck!

This week’s voting incentive has the Fatal Four Way poll leader herself, the Lil Dragon Sun Wong.
Lots of voting talk here, eh? Â With Voting Incentives and wrestling polls. Â Well, the voting incentive is important because the more you all vote, the higher ranked Rival Angels is. Â This is great news because Rival Angels gets some exposure to people that might not otherwise hear about the comic. Â Its good for you because of the weekly voting incentive, which this week is Sun, and knowing that you’re supporting the comic.
What’s great too is that its really easy. Â You click on one or both of the voting buttons in the sidebar. Â Then, you’re asked to verify that you do indeed want to vote for Rival Angels and then you get to see the voting incentive.Â
Happily, you can vote once per day, and its a great way of supporting Rival Angels without costing you anything but a couple of clicks.
