If this match has taught us anything, it’s that Sabrina and Hell’s Belles are probably never going to get along and that it’s not a great idea to get Sabrina riled up (see last update, last panel). Sabrina went through quite a lot before and during this match. With Marina motivating her, having anxiety over her best friend Sun and then, you know, beating two other girls in the same match to finally win! Sabrina did win her a match into the Tv Tournament finals but she’s also got a match with Chloe De Sade in the same night! AHHH! Is she crazy?
A Sun sighting! Well, she seems pretty happy that Sabrina won though her Damage Inc teammates might be surprised by her enthusiasm. Well, maybe not one of them but that’s why she’s the boss. Yvonne did a good job of keeping Sun away from ringside, much the same that Marina was able to keep Sabrina away.
I’m still in Vegas (hopefully winning but will be happy not to be broke) and I don’t want to give anything away, but Monday’s got some surprises for you.
Here’s a cool 6 second video of Jennifer Blake executing an Ultrakick, er, superkick.
Angel looked pretty good there but she’s technically outnumbered and the numbers caught up with her. Even though Sabrina and Xtina were worn down pretty well, they are still fighting their hearts out. Their double team didn’t really work but Xtina is poised to win. Can she pull it out? Can Angel kick out? Are there any more surprises coming??
In the 5th panel we have Xtina bulldogging Angel. To see a quick YouTube clip of it (like 17 seconds) click below:
Lora Innes created a non-profit group dedicated to shining a bright light on human trafficking (aka slavery). She got a bunch of webcomic creators together to draw a gal from their cast and she assembled them into a single wallpaper. Sabrina joins the ranks with Bea, Xylia, Hazel, Nastajia and 85 other characters in a snazzy wallpaper gift for your donation. Voting Incentive!
Vote to get a sneak peek at a new image that I’m using for the upcoming Rival Angels Facebook Fan Page! I’m hoping to have the Fan Page up next week, but until then, Vote to get an early look!
Some of you have guessed this coming and here it is. Angel Soprano, the winner of the Bonus Life Battle Royal and by winning that, earned a way back into the tournament. You might remember (or click the link and see) that this is how Angel operates. She waits for her opponents to wear each other out and then strike. She quite literally picked her exact spot to enter this match and this is now a triple threat match. Though, by the looks of things this match is all but over. Last update, Sabrina looked like she had the match won by getting Xtina to tap, but that seems like an eternity ago. Xtina’s in no shape to break up the pinfall and the only thing the fans can do is express their frustration and unhappiness.
Here’s a quick 4-second YouTube clip of the Killshot:
At the end of 2009, Lora Innes created a non-profit group dedicated to shining a bright light on human trafficking (aka slavery). She got a bunch of webcomic creators together to draw a girl from their cast and she would assemble into a single wallpaper. 87 creators later and there’s a snazzy wallpaper gift for your donation. Without further ado, I will let Lora take it from here:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret Mead
Monday, January 11th is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. To participate, we formed the Comic Creator’s Alliance–a group of over eighty comic book creators (both web and print) who volunteered our artistic talents to raise money and awareness for this cause. You may not know it, but there are currently 27 million enslaved people worldwide- more than double the number of enslaved Africans during the trans-Atlantic slave trade. UNICEF estimates that 1.2 million children every year are sold into slavery, most of it sexual. The US Department of Justice estimates 16,000 victims of human trafficking are brought into the United States every year. Unlike slavery in the 19th century, what is happening today is happening in secret. So it won’t end until awareness is raised, and people like you and me take a stand.
So here’s what we did: each creator contributed an original drawing of one of our own female characters, and combined them into a single wallpaper image. The wallpaper features characters from The Phoenix Requiem, Girls with Slingshots, Earthsong, Looking for Group, Shadowgirls, The Uniques and four IDW Publishing titles: Fallen Angel, The Dreamland Chronicles, Love and Capes and The Dreamer, and lots, lots more! Donate today to download this unique, once-in-a-lifetime wallpaper. The Donations Drive will last for two weeks, from January 11th – 24th. All proceeds will be split evenly between Love146 and Gracehaven House- two organizations working on rehabilitation of victims and prevention of this crime.

Just like that, the tide of the match turns. Has Brooke done enough to put Monica away? We’ve seen her put Monica away before with less effort. The crowd is certainly out of it, if that’s any indication. Plus, you have to think that Monica is woozy from that sneaky DDT. She might be out cold! No small thanks to Amanda Breaker too with the timely trip that allowed Brooke to DDT Monica in the first place. If only the poor ref would take a look at the bigger picture…
I’m back from Mid-Ohio Con! Well, actually, I’m writing this on the Thursday before but I figure all went great, I sold a ton of books and I’m sure I’ll post some pictures in the next day or so. Rolling with Trevor and hanging out at Lora’s pad! Good times and good friends.
It’s not too late to put in a nomination for the Webcomics Readers Choice Awards. If you think an Angel deserves their due, then do a quick sign-up and nominate your choice!
UPDATE:
W00t! Back from Mid Ohio Con. It would seem that my early post came true and I didn’t even need to call the psychic hotline for it either. Great times, books were sold (hit a milestone actually) and pictures and stories to be coming. Lora put up a dynamite con report (already!) so check it out.
Looks like Sabrina didn’t nail that Ultrasplash (from last page) after all!
Sun wasn’t kidding about learning from the master. She’s got a critique for Sabrina whether she wants to hear it or not, but the girls are keeping it friendly. Sabrina has the infamous short fuse but it’d take quite a bit for her to blow up on Sun. And really Sun means well. Right? After all they are smiling…at least in the beginning of the page.
A crowd seems to be forming as Sabrina and Sun pick up the pace. Even Brooke, Krystin and now Marina are drawn to the sparring session. Like Brooke and Krystin said, this might get really good or bad.

Since we don’t have commentators calling the match, panel 5 is a reverse neckbreaker. Check it out here:
