Looks like Brooke is ready to “Break” the crowds hearts if she can pull of that move, we are witnessing the possible birth of a strong and confident in ring Brooke. Win or lose Brooke has a chance to make a positive splash in RA as a threat. Now back to waiting for Wow patch and Friday.

So when they were training together, Sabrina must’ve taught Brooke all about showboating when you think you’re going to win. That’s one lesson Brooke should’ve studied with Krystin instead. This could’ve ended well for her more than once, but I think she’s throwing it away.

looks like Brooke is looking to go for a finish here but judging by the fight Monica’s putting up i don;t think she’s quite as worn down as brooke thinks she is for the widow’s peak to work.
looking at the VI i smell a “heli-kelly” coming (my personal nickname for Kelly Kelly’s twirling hurricarana thing she does) from Monica to turn the tide once again, or at least give her a breather from the divine onslaught.
did like panel 5- captures Brooke’s showboating style but with an actual wrestling hold (and apparently a handful of hair cleverly blocked from the ref with Brooke’s left hand. did i just use “clever” and “Brooke” in the same sentence?)
The way Brooke’s struggling to lift Monica at the end shows how much this fight has taken out of her. Monica seems to have a better long game, which isn’t surprising considering how small she is – generally speaking, the longer a fight goes, the more the odds tip in the favour of the person with the better cardio and conditioning, and bigger muscles mean that the body has to burn more energy to stay competitive. Brooke had a chance to end it early while she was still the favourite, but she chose to showboat instead, and I think Monica’s going to take advantage.
Monica could still pull last-ditch reversal… but if she don’t have respect for the Goddess now – she never will. I do hope boss lady is seeing this and knowing Miss Brooke has EARNED some future time in Rival Angels.
That voting incentive just screams hurricanrana reversal, but I’ve been wrong before, hehe.
Excellent pun/word usage, Jabberwocky. Yes, I think Brooke has done a lot of growing up in this match, career wise, and management and the locker room have noticed. All good things, though clearly a win would be ideal. XD Can she do it? A strong, confident and winning Brooke would definitely be noteworthy. Good luck on the patch. XD
Hey DynaMo! You know our little Brooke. If she’s not showing off, she’s not trying. XD It could cost her though. I think Monica won’t ever take Brooke lightly again, win or lose. I think Michael is looking pretty good considering he vouched for Brooke and her potential to be a success and I think Brooke’s spot in Rival Angels is safe for now.

MGC, it’s anyone’s guess why Monica is trading punches with Brooke. Maybe she forgot that Brooke is strong? Or expected her to wilt under the punch? Even though Monica is being overwhelmed, she’s still fighting which is why Brooke can’t easily get her up. When Kat fought Monica, Chloe nailed Monica with a chair to KO her. Big difference. Hmmmm…who’s stronger? Kat, Brooke…or maybe even throw Brenda and Brandy into that mix too? All powerful gals. I’d say that Kat’s probably got the most power, but it’d be fun to find out. XD

jpiv, if Jeff is one thing, it’s consistent. Heh. The tension is raising in this match because Brooke knows she needs to put Monica away and Monica knows she needs to do something before the unthinkable happens. Ah yes, the K2 Helli-Kelly! Can Monica pull that off? 😉 Because it’s Brooke, panel 5 is a little fan-servicy but I think it sums up Brooke well in a panel. XD

Terrific match so far! Given the build up arc in the previous chapters, the payoff is definitely here. Monica has a rich history with Brooke and Amanda, so emotions are high for her to win this match and silence the ego of Brooke and show her former partner who’s the best. At the same time, Brooke’s ability in the ring is starting to favor her physical appearance: Stunning. The psychology in this chapter is well done and you’ve managed to develop suspense at each turn. Very well done, Albone! ^_^
GhostEraser, it’s plain to see that Jeff is not a fan of Monica’s. Brooke is showing some skills at the expense of Monica and it’s yet to be seen if the Mighty one can rally.
