Chapter: Chapter 13 - Hostile Intent
Characters: Sabrina Mancini, Xtina Carpenter
Location: Angel Dome arena
There’s a lot going on this page. We got Xtina pushing the rules to the near-breaking point, without actually breaking them (or Sabrina’s arm). She then lays it on again with her words that seem to take the fight out of Sabrina both physically and emotionally. But in the last panel, it seems like Sabrina’s going for a counter to the Sharpshooter! Xtina is a submissions expert and Sabrina is looking to put some sort of submission move. Can it work out for Sabrina, or is she just digging a deeper hole for herself?

Ah the classic triangle choke-hold, a little tougher to pull hair in that hold Xtina, that could be a momentum shifter if Sabrina pulls it off right. For not being a heel character Xtina seems to be making all the mistakes and actions of one when they a facing a face, holding til four on submission and taunting the opponent instead of zipping it and wrapping it up, reminds of that from The Incredibles lol. Thia match is far from over and I have a feeling it is just beginning to get brutal, it would be a shame to see a certain wrestler with a second life pick up the scrapes Edge-like after the match too >.<
here’s one thing.. I kinda change my mind… I like to see Xtina win here..
it’s impossible for Sabrina to perfect gogoplata on Xtina.. and Sabrina must have two go arm to put the pressure on it.. now with a bad arm, I doubt it.. and I say it’s impossible.. impossible!!
and last panel.. Sabrina is pulling Xtina’s pony tail..
and I don’t expect this to end it on the next update.. maybe after an ultrasplash or a sharpshooter, not like this…
I kinda accept the fact.. Sabrina’s win.. a pinfall.
Ultrakick, then Ultrasplash on Xtina.. but a gogoplata..
ten weeks in a developmental territory, now she applied a submission move to Xtina Carpenter.. kinda kinda kinda….
I’m marking out for the hell’s gate. lol I can’t help it. What an awesome counter there, Xtina runs her mouth WAY too much. I’d actually like to see Sabrina shut it for her once and for all.
Looks like Sabrina’s leg is underneath Xtina’s neck, so I’m assuming that’s a gogoplata? Either way, gogoplata or triangle choke, I marked for it because it was so unexpected to see such an advanced submission hold applied by our heroine. It would be pretty cool if Sabrina won with this, it would say a lot for her character to beat the veteran cleanly with her own style of move.
is that a gogoplata I see Xtina falling into?
Well, glad to see Sabrina making a kinda comeback here. Doubt it’ll be that simple, but I’ll be waiting to see the next installment.

Sabrina’s playing an ace out of her sleeve… Good idea but with one arm in such a bad shape, it’s a real bet! Especially against a submission expert as Xtina, as you stated…
Once again, Ultragirl demonstrates her fighting spirit. Way to go, Sabrina!

Boy Xtina is really pushing it here. Running the rules and shooting her mouth like that is a bit unusual. Maybe she’s feeling the pressure?
The last panel is quite the cliff hanger! Xtina’s got lots of options. But she’s got to move fast before the hold gets locked on. And Brina’s got options, depending on what Xtina does! This could turn into a furball, and Brina can’t possible roll through all that on top, so she better get this. But dang! I sure want to know where she’s coming up with these – and so does the whole locker room!
Niiiiiice Commission! I gained a little respect for Xtina for not breaking the arm. Though her little speech might’ve been the worser blow. I think Sabrina can still pull it out. I don’t think her spirit can be broken that easily, though.
…now off to the gym. I got a brand new membership yesterday but…I couldn’t leave until I got my Angels!!
looks like Brina’s going to go for the hell’s gate like what everyone else has said. and she seems to not be using her injured arm for anything other than pulling hair so that shouldn’t affect her being able to lock the hold in. whether she can lock it in compleletly though given how it’s not her style of wrestling is another story.
also Brina needs to watch her back since even caught off guard Xtina looks to have the leverage edge and may be able to push Sabrina back enough to do a Kurt Angle and actually pin Sabrina while she’s in the choke herself. Could she hold out long enough for the three count? possibly. could Brina be forced to break the hold to avoid getting pinned herself? also possible. a Sun-like poke to the eyes? Xtina seems willing to cut a few corners if necessary as the rabbit punch proved.
ironically the only thing i don’t see happening is Sabrina winning via tapout/pass out here. 🙂
PS2kid, it does look like the Hell’s Gate, eh? XD Undertaker is rolling around in his grave somewhere. Haha, get it?! 😛
Jabberwocky, LOL, about Xtina’s ability to pull hair if she gets caught in that. I’m glad you liked that angle, and I’m more glad that I was able to pull it off! Whew. You know, the thing with Xtina is that this his her showboating. While Sabrina usually hollers to the crowd or shows off, this Xtina’s way of doing that. Kind of like Larry Bird. He was always considered a ‘good guy’ but he would incite the other bench all game. But just like with Sabrina in the past, it’s gotten Xtina into some trouble and she better hope she can get out of it.
MGC, it’s probably for the best; you supporting Sabrina has turned her into a monster! LOL jk Can Sabrina do the impossible and trap Xtina in a submission move? She’s certainly going to try. But the gogoplata isn’t a secret (you can see it on MMAgirls.net and Smackdown via Undertaker) so why do you think it’s kinda…?
RAWF, yeah Xtina’s mouth got her in trouble. She thought she was being magnanimous by showing that she could break Sabrina’s arm and not doing it, she never thought that Sabrina would want to keep fighting! Can Sabrina do what Xtian failed to do and finish this match?
Chris, that would be pretty great for Sabrina, to beat Xtina at her own game especially since Xtina has been pretty cocky these last few updates. Sabrina’s hoping that the unexpectedness of the attack is going to be enough but we’ll find out for sure on Friday. 😉
Drew, that’s where it’s headed but Xtina has a chance to counter it still. That being said, Sabrina could still try to counter any counter. Yikes!

Hey Champ! Yeah, Xtina likes to run her mouth and she’s doing it more here because she thinks she has Sabrina broken, emotionally and physically. Surprise! Well, maybe. Xtina’s not going down without a fight. This is pretty much a last ditch attempt to try and finish off Xtina. If Sabrina can’t get this she might be in trouble. Glad you liked the voting incentive! 😀
Hey Lora! Nothing like getting some Rival Angels in before a workout. XD You caught what Xtina was doing there, basically finishing Sabrina off with her words and the threat of breaking her bones. It might come back to haunt her! O_o
jpiv, nice catch with how Sabrina’s using her hurt arm. If Xtina wants to hairpull, Sabrina can do that too. XD Yeah, she still seems to be miles away from locking it in and Xtina’s surprise is going to last maybe a second or two at the most. Nice observation on where this match could go if Sabrina locks it in. We saw Monica lose to Brooke through similar circumstances and yeah, Xtina’s not above a slight bending of the rules to improve her position. What’s going to happen next?! XD

yeah it looks like miss goodly two shoes may know more about submissio0ns then she let on if she going for this hold. thing is is her arm in good enough shape but what i really question i does she have the knowagle to actally pull this hold off right.guess this next page will all depend on how fast Xtina can react. if Brina can actally pull this off it would earn her major points and be Xtina’s own fault if she actally got caught in this.. a submission expert like her should know to lock on first then brag.
Loved the delayed break. Maybe Xtina can do a roll through. I like Sabrina getting a nice wake up call, overall.

I tried to post twice at twelve last night, but my connection was dropping. In short, good job on this Match and I really enjoyed what you did in shadowgirls. Also that arm submission hurts like hell, I don’t know how brina took all four seconds, but I think it showed that she was willing to to fight until her sholder broke.
I’m relatively new around here…and I could be wrong…but what about Angel Soprano? She wont the rumble, isn’t she supposed to inserted into a Round 2 fight and make it a three-way match? Seeing as she didn’t show up in the Kat/Victoria bought…..
i’ve been under the impression that Angel Soprano has a bye til the finals to make that a three way match. but i could also be wrong about that too 🙂
I’m surprized that Jeff didn’t have a comment about having Sabrina’s legs wrapped around his head, too. Albone, you probably bleeped his comments ’cause you’re a class act. Or there wasn’t room in the panel…
We should keep in mind that wrestling moves need to be done by athletic and trained people, so if Sabrina tries a move now (in her weakened state) she could end up seriously hurting herself or Xtina.
With my limited wrestling knowledge, I’m gonna try and call it that Sabrina’s going to try for some kind of leg throw or other desperation power move to knock Xtina down for a few seconds, in the hope of catching her breath and figuring out just what her arm will be able to take. Of course, given Sabrina’s impetuous nature I wouldn’t be at all surprised to be wrong.
Hey Jenn! Sabrina’s full of surprises! She’s a pro so she’s trained right, but whether she can apply that in full-on combat mode is another story. Basically, will she flinch? Good point about the consequences especially if Sabrina pulls it off, making Xtina look pretty bad in the process.
Picky, that’s an option as is powering out of the move and continuing with the Sharpshooter. Decisions, decisions!

Rorshach, I absolutely hate that, when you write up something and kaput. It’s gone. Thanks for posting. I’m thrilled you liked the Shadowgirls crossover and there’s talk of doing it again. Sabrina did show great heart by not submitting but I think we can thank Xtina as well for not breaking Sabrina’s arm. She wants Sabrina to squirm but she’s not reckless enough to seriously injure her.
Sean, for being new you are very observant. It was brought up before in the comments (jabberwocky) and I forgot to address it but Angel could very well crash this match and be Edge-like in eliminating both girls. She could also wait for the finals and help Kat beat the winner of this match. Just what will Angel do? 😉
jpiv, Angel is free to come back at any time during the tournament. Now, next match, of course, considering she was looking to join Hell’s Belles, it’s possible she’s taking direction from Chloe De Sade. O_o
LOL GhostEraser! Jeff didn’t mention about Sabrina’s legs around his head because it’s too close to the truth! XD It’s true about the caution but these girls are pros and that’s why Sabrina’s arm isn’t broken. Plus, the application of this move shouldn’t be too hairy, it’s being in the move for too long that could be dangerous.
Nice prediction, Cookie Ogre! Sabrina is impetuous so who knows what she’s going to try but that sounds smart. That arm is smarting and she needs a breather badly.
I called her not breaking till the five count on Monday. Anyway, I think we are learning a lot about Xtina in this match. She thinks she’s a good person but does what it takes to win. I don’t know if she’s right though. I would like it if Sabrina pulled off this move, even though she doesn’t seem like a submission specialist.
I’m going to have to see how you can get from an attempted Sharpshooter into a Gogoplata that Sabrina is trying now… I could see sharply pulling forward causing the body to fall into you and then trying the technique that way…
Either way can Sabrina hold on in her weary state… that looked like a last ditch effort attempt…

Ken, you might remember that I was equally evasive about you calling the full four count. XD Great summary of Xtina. That’s about as accurate as anything that I would come up with with maybe adding that her fanbase validates her attitude. Sabrina’s a tricky gal and even though she doesn’t have a lot of friends, she does know someone that could’ve shown her this. 😉
Kurt, it was a quick transition especially after Sabrina yanked on Xtina’s pony tail. That’s the real question, can Sabrina lock it in and hold on? Or will Xtina counter it? Good call on Sabrina’s state. She’s gassed and gambling on this desperation move.
