Sabrina’s old Rugby coach used to refer to her and her teammates as ‘bums,’ but she’s not using it affectionately here. Clearly, Brooke has forgotten her by-right-of-birth football catching prowess, or maybe Sabrina is right? Or not? That look suggests otherwise.

There most likely won’t be a Monday update next week. I’ll be out of town with no real way to update, and I won’t have time to do it before then. Even though the Monday updates are comic updates, I do like to put something there, but I gotta miss one.

Because you need a reason to have a girl fight and 4 on 4 means the rule will be slightly different and what if the ball is tossed in her direction when she is defending? Plus the guys get a kick out of watching her breast wobble.

Yes, when using that method of encouragement you need to know you audience and Sabrina doesn’t seem to get Brooke right.

The words are different, as is the sport, but the context is very familiar to my old football (real football) coach. Naturally, Brooke’s got no experience with that sort of discipline…
Yes I’ve seen coaches do the insult thing along with military instructors and more. It is wild how it can work on some but fail on others.
As for Brooke she doesn’t do well with insults and taunts, Sabrina should try something different like, “You will look so sexy catching the ball…”
The insults could be a lot worse. Suggestions:
“I know it’s a foreign concept for you, but try being good at something.”
“Do what comes naturally: catch the ball between your legs.”
“Now is not the time to get all nostalgic for leathery old skin slapping you in the face, we have a game to win.”

Well nobody’s perfect and even Brooke should at least understand the ways of American Football, and not just the cheerleaders, but the actual sport itself. 🙁

Sadly you are right nobody is perfect. Snow Kitten is nobody. So therefore Snow Kitten is perfect.
Not everyone understand stands sport. I do pretty well with baseball and football but am still not sure why there isn’t more tackling in basketball.

Brooke is from Australia if I recall, they don’t throw the ball forward in what passes for football in Oz so be fair, lol.
There is a game where you’re expected to catch it if someone kicks it to you though! AFL! You should check it out! It’s .. er.. really really crazy. But awesome!

brooke clearly lied to brina- she clearly stated her eyes were open yet in panel 2, and panel 4 and panel 6,(panel 5 she was starting to get the hang of it and only had 1 eye closed) you can see that they were closed the whole time.
in brooke’s “defense” it’s clear in the last panel Brina was going to hike the ball to brooke and let her be QB but brooke wasn;t told this so she was going to work on her “sack the QB” skills as having skills with “the sack” is something more up Brooke’s alley. (nods wisely)
You’re forgetting that unlike American football. Aussie rules is ALL about catching the ball. 🙂 Checkout some videos of “AFL Marks” sometime.

Brook seems convinced she can catch the ball with her boobs or her face. Unfortunately that not gonna work. She does know how this game is played right?
Where did Sabrina learn to throw like a Quarterback? You don’t do that in Rugby!
First off, Sabrina should be less insulting. You’d think after the tragic catfight of a couple of chapters ago she’d be smarter than that. Any bridges she builds with Brooke tend to be pie-crust, thanks to Brooke’s resentment of her, and any time she acts like this, she’s eroding them further.
Second, as we both know, Brooke is primarily a model, not an athlete. Putting her in a position that calls for athletic coordination is doomsday.
Sabrina may not look like Chris Judd, but they do play like Carlton.
