Actually, I’m very glad that it was Krystin who spoke up.  Of the four, she’s still the biggest enigma, and it’s nice seeing this side of her come out.  Namely, she’s the one who is most likely to be rational about the whole thing.  Considering the circumstances, it makes sense.  Sun was too angry, and Brooke… well, that’s not even really worth considering.

As for mentioning Sun, whether or not it was a cheap shot depends on your point of view I think.  Personally, I think of it as having cold water dumped on her… she needed something to cool her down and shock her into looking at it from another angle.  Sabrina needed a reality check that this decision wasn’t something to jump into, and that it would have consequences for more than just her.  So cheap or not, I think it was needed.

Plus, from some of the forum samples of Krystin, I really think that suited her. She lives up to her nicckname in a way. Definition of Technician. It means she knows not only what’s in front of her but what it means and how to deal with it.

She -had- to stop Sabrina. Period. No question there. How to stop her? Appeal to the baby face and use her best friend. Cruel? Maybe. Cold? Almost certainly. Necessary? Absolutely. And she played it perfectly.

And look at the timing. Sun in the background is about to… well can you call hitting someone in the head with something  ‘braining them’ when it’s Brooke that’s going to be hit? ;) Whatever. She did it just right for Sabrina to turn around and shock Sun into stopping too. Even if only briefly.

    That’s my girl.

I really hand it to “Definition of Technician” Krystin Moline here.. she appear to be the mature person the household.. and not only for that, her attitude changes.. not like in the first always grumpy and always left behind.. now seeing Krystin moe like she’s on her zone.. compare Krystin’s attitude past and present.. if Krystin still got her attitude from the past. I know what she’ll comment. Krystin said “Whatever!”
Panel 1: ah? what’s with the Randy Orton pose there Sabrina?..

Panel 2: Krystin said “Brooke is one cold, sick bitch.” ahh? saying that at the back of her friend Brooke.. heheh.. Backstabber.. hehhe..

Panel 3: Krystin said “what happen to all of us if you leave?” I really want an answer? what is going to happen? if Sabrina leave?
what is Sun doing? is she playing boxing? and holding a T.V. remote.. and why Sun didn’t instantly attack Brooke.. like jump off somewhere and elbow Brooke’s candy ass. why is Sun just posing..
Panel 4: Krystin used a reason for “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini to stay.. using Sun.. coz Krystin knows that Sun and Sabrina are close friend.. but I kinda doubt and curious about Krystin using that question.. “What’s going to happen to Sun?”

why? what is going to happen to Sun if Sabrina leaves?

    a. is “Shinobi” “Lil Dragon” Sun Wong will also leave
    b. “Shinobi” “Lil Dragon” SUn Wong will be sad
c.”Shinobi” “Lil Dragon” Sun WOng will be destroy at the hands of Brooke and Krystin.. and suffer inside the house hold.. Brooke will make Sun’s life a living hell..

Looking at Sabrina’s face here.. “Ultra-Emo girl” Sabrina Mancini.. hahaha.. IS Sabrina Mancini gonna cry? hahha..

I really don’t think it’s a cheapshot to Sun.. in our country we use in persuasion.. so I don’t think it’s that dirty cheap shot.. so it’s find.. it’s like think of other’s conscequence when you leave.. something like that..

possible flaw in episode 148-149.. episode 148 Sabrina said “I’m leaving” then in this episode she’s already at the door.. why she didn’t pack her bags? usually they pack their bags before they leave right.. in panel 1.. she’s already at the door. as if leaving just simply means, “Leaving, I’ll be back tomorrow.. I’ll just stay at the hotel for the night.”

I kinda suspect this… Brooke will approaches Sabrina and apologize in the next episode. or maybe Sun approaches Sabrina and comfort her..

Not Tragic.. Not Tragic… and wasted.. Na na na na hey hey goodbye chant last episode.. shhhsshh!

forgot to add.. “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini completely forgot about her coming match against Jennifer Needles.. I smell “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini first defeat.. HAHAHHAHAH….

  5. M.G.C.

:( kinda disappointing though in this chapter..

    1.Sabrina destroy Brooke
    2. Sun didn’t ninja’d Brooke
    3. Sabrina didn’t leave

  6. bd

More importantly, how has Sun not started an epic and brutal beat down right there in the living room?

  7. CoyoteLovely

I am kind of laughing at Brooke trying to defend herself from Sun in the background there. I think once Sabrina gets to be alone, the other two are going to tear hard into Brooke. I’ve seen that quiet happen for like two seconds after the hurt party leaves.

Hey everyone!  Aint It Cool News reviewed Rival Angels this week in the dot.comics review!  Definitely check it out!  You can also check it out in the BLOG section here on RivalAngels.com

Glad you liked seeing more of Krystin in this, Adon.  Definitely some more plans for the Definition of Technician on the horizon. Of course, her part in this is far from over. And I agree with you about what and why Krystin did what she did.  It needed saying.

Salazen, I thought you might like Krystin taking charge here and really for the reasons you stated.  She’s the one that’s most clear-headed about the situation and the only one who seems to really understand what is at stake and yes, the ugly politics of it.  Krystin was thinking on her feet, so to speak and it worked. Definitely more to come in this scene.

MGC, Sabrina was heading out the door, intent on never coming back.  She would’ve had Sun get the few things that she has there.  Remember that Sabrina packed pretty light to begin with so she wouldn’t miss much, though I suspect she’d really like her Hello Kitty pillow. Sabrina’s match with Jennifer is the LAST thing on her mind right now.  As for Krystin talking about Brooke behind her back…you may find the next update interesting.

bd, for a bigger girl, Brooke is pretty fast!  The room is only so big but Sun’s flustered and Brooke’s panicked, so a traditional beating isn’t working.  Sun picked up the nearest thing and is getting ready to brain Brooke with it.  (is that a TV remote?)  Tension and emotions are high and no one is really thinking anymore, except for Krystin.

Glad you liked the background shenanigans going on CoyoteLovely! A return of hostilities is almost a certainty once the silence is broken but maybe not in the way one might suspect.  I AM being vague, but only until Friday’s update. :D

Sweet review, dude!  You’ve gotten some good ones.  I’m at 50-50…  and I had to ask for the reviews.
    Nice solid page, too, art-wise.

Thanks Jamie, this was a pleasant surprise! Luckily my ‘wordpress alert’ let me know about it or I would’ve missed it. Nothing wrong with asking for reviews either. ;)

  13. Prestwick

Is it me or is Sabrina in panel four either thinking “mmmmm! Pork scratchings” or taking a huge poop on the carpet before leaving?

    Either way, great comic! :D

Panel 5: ………. what the hell is that on the lower right corner on panel 5 ???? Is that Sun’s arm ?? Since when Sun become the apprentice of Dhalsim. Not to mention the way it bend doesn’t seem ….. right.
