Rival Angels Page 132- The Towers of Terror

Heh, Johann the Voodoo Potentate of Doom cracks me up. A bathrobe and shower shoes, what’s not to love?  And he’s the first manager we’ve seen so far.  Far less jovial are Zombie Luna and Lover Lola .  They’re definitely all business and looking to put a hurting on the blond variation of the Upstart girls.

This was the first time I got to do an entrance like this, and I think it came off pretty well.  And I’m happy to admit that the little bit of Terrors jumbotron was created by me, no lifting pics and running through filters (which I’m not above doing) but all me.

Brooke’s looking kind of worried though despite Sabrina’s reassurances and remember that Brooke needs a win in this match to keep her job.  Its not out of the realm of possibility that Brooke wants Sabrina to soften up, i.e. tire the Terrors out by getting the crap beat out of her and picking the bones afterwards.  That’s way too cynical of a thought, right?

And for the theme to the Terror’s music, you’ll find it at least apropos:

HALLOWEEN VOTING INCENTIVE!
First we have super cool, my main man fifty grand, Jamie with the very sweet pic of Schoolgirl Sara Valentine in just about every fanboy’s first sci-fi geek crash with girls.
Second, we have the Upstarts dressed in costume chatting with a few characters from the Dreamer. Go vote to see it, and to break it down:
Krystin is dressed as Diamond from The Elevator .
Brooke is dressed as super cute alien chick from Surfboards and Rayguns (her name is still a mystery!)
Sun is dressed as Zombie combat Lia from Salt the Holly .
Sabrina is dressed up as Bea from The Dreamer and Bea is dressed as Sabrina.  Alan’s just Alan, because the name is just too cool to screw with. :P AND, I know some of the readers here are Dreamer readers too, so its all good.  I highly recommend you all check out the goodness that these webcomics have to offer.

    And why wouldn’t Brooke let Sabrina take the hit, again?  ;)

    I wonder if the realization that she could actually lose her job will hit Brooke in time for her to do something about it.

    Panel 1: Holy!!! over 325 pounds….”Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini is in big trouble..Zombie Luna and Lover Lola each weight in 160…  what’s up with that Johann… yo yo yo. he ain’t Cryme Tyme. and why is Dawn annoyed by Johann holding a microphone?

    Panel 2: Hahahhah… I like Johann’s bling bling.. look at the crowd.. that guy gave Lover Luna a middle finger.. LoL.. and Lover Lola’s mask is like Deathstroke.. how tall is Zombie Luna? she’s taller I mean much more taller than Lover Lola, is like the “The Great Khali”
     
    I really to see Catgirls VS Tower of Terror? I wonder who will win?
     
    Panel 3: Brooke looking kinda worried.. if your opponent is combined weightin 325 pounds, surely be worried.. I bet “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini is worried too.. :evil:
     
     
    Panel 4: Brooke wants Sabrina to be first.. this is bad.. very bad.. let’s say the match start, Sabrina is fighting Zombie Luna and Zombie Luna speared “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini.. I kinda think Brooke will get out of the ring apron and leave Sabrina alone.. Brooke will just shake her ass on the crowd.  if that’s the case.. Boooooo!! to Brooke.. I don’t know if Brooke is using a strategy here, Sabrina will soften the opponent first, then Brooke will destroy them with her streght and power.. this is just a big “IF” if Brooke want to win..

    “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini and “GoDDess” “UltraBOOBS” Brooke Lennox against Tower of Terror Zombie Luna and Lover Lola..
     
    Zombie Luna and Lover Lola have equal strenght of Brooke, combine both they got the upperhand in Strenght.. obviously..”Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini and “GoDDess” “UltraBOOBS” Brooke Lennox, combine them they got Highflyer and strenght.. I really can say, Brooke must participate in this match Seriously. “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini can’t win in this match alone. 
     
     
    The Only chance “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini and “GoDDess” “UltraBOOBS” Brooke Lennox to win, is isolate one of them, double teaming and constant tag is the key here.. “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini must use her speed and high flying assault her, with the help of Brooke.. Brooke must use all her  strenght, GoDDess-Like Strenght, to win, if possible outsmart them.. Brooke smart? That will be DDay… I hope “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini got this tip on chances winning..
     
     
    Tower of Terror Zombie Luna and Lover Lola, they got every upperhand to win.. referee distraction, Johann’s interferance, pure Strenght, devastating slams with crushing blow.. The heavy artillery here..  

    Love the Voting incentives too.. “Sassy Schoolgal” Sara Valentine, is she in chain-mailed Bikini? waaaa!! that’s should be “Red Hair Maiden” Jennifer Needle’s wear. :(  
    I like the way you put them in their costume, in addition you’ve advertise other webcomic too.. Sabrina as Bea (Dreamer) and Bea as Sabrina (Rival Angels).. we’ve seen Jaime(67thavenue) got a picture taken with “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini, Liz (Dreamer).. maybe from other webcomics too, that will be nice.  maybe one of the characters of Salt and Holly  taken picture with “Mighty” “Mon Mon” Monica Rumble (after Monica is recovered) or maybe one of the character in Surfboard and Rayguns with “White Queen” Chloe De Sade… ahhhh!! the side of imagine thing…

    and by the way, I kinda guess that what happen, “Voting Incentive” picture was taken before this match.. and the crowd gets a chance to take picture with their fans .. I don’t know..

    One more thing.. Brooke’s hair is pink? what tha!! I kinda thought Brooke don’t want to dye her hair? I think that dye color is a washable dye..

    This match is kinda funny though.. I don’t know to whom I gonna cheer for, surely i don’t cheer for the Tower of Terror, I don’t like Zombies.. on the otherside, Brooke.. if Brooke won’t wrestle, BOOOOOO!!

    The match starts on Monday….can’t wait… Wooohoooo.. 9 episode I hope….. hahahhaha
    Dammit have to wait till Monday.  :(

    Panel 4: Sabrina took of her red cape? and her tiera? is kinda nice to see She-Ra in her complete gear rather than taking it off.

    So, are Luna and Lola in costume as well (can’t seem to recognize who they are) or is this their regular ring attire?

    About the vote incentive: Cool Stuff!
    Incidentally, Lora Innes from The Dreamer also has a pic up on her site with her modern-day characters in costume, and there it’s Elizabeth who’s dressed up as Ultragirl! And Bea is Nastajia Ashenheart from The Dreamland Chronicles.

    Tower of Terror.. Zombie Luna and Lover Lola, newest Rival Angels tag team? are they rookies? and the entrance song really fits them… by the way, Zombie Luna and Lover Lola are Dan Head’s created character?

    I think they’re both established wrestlers in the Rival Angels league, but they only recently teamed up as a permanent Tag-Team.

    And, Managers… Man, I really hate these guys!
    I mean, Heel wrestlers bringing their pals, bodyguards or other associates to the ring to interfere with matches if necessary is a time-tested staple of professional wrestling. But there’s something about Managers that just ticks me off…

    Perhaps it’s the fact that they’re really just glorified accountants trying to hog some spotlight for themselves…

    yay!  Managers!  That dude looks as awesome as Johnny Polo.  Isn’t it customary for the technical or smaller person to start the match anyway?  hitman usually started and anvil would clean-up and then…. HART ATTACK!!!!!!  awesome.

    I’m in complete disagreement about managers.  I think that for a heel at least they can be a vital part of the act.  They’re SUPPOSED to piss off the audience for one thing.  Notice how they usually dress in loud/tasteless outfits — that’s part of it.  They can give a heel wrestler that extra nudge to make the audience hate on them when they interfere, and they can talk for wrestlers that normally aren’t good at promos.  Really good managers can also complement wrestlers who CAN cut a good promo (see Bobby Heenan with Rick Rude, Curt Hennig and Nick Bockwinkel — all good promos, but having him to play off of made them better).  If nothing else, they add to the conceit that the heel doesn’t feel like they can get the job done on their own, and needs someone outside to interfere for them.

    To me at least it’s kind of sad that managers have fallen out of fashion.  The Midnight Express wouldn’t have been anywhere near the team they were without Jim Cornette in their corner.  Bobby Heenan’s presence tended to push otherwise forgettable heels to prominence.  And I get the impression that the Towers of Terror aren’t big on talking, which justifies the presence of their manager alone.

    Hey everyone, did you guys see that really awesome pic that Lora did of her favorite webcomic characters?  I just posted on the Blog about Lora’s picture of her character Liz with Sun, and in case you don’t know, I really love Liz.  In fact, at Wizard World I tried to talk Lora into doing a mini-series with Liz!  I don’t think it worked, but it was worth a shot. :D  So naturally, I’m thrilled to see Liz wearing an Ultragirl costume!

    A. Mouse, if self-preservation does its job, we may see Brooke come to action.  Then again, Brooke is a pretty stubborn gal.

    Yessir, MGC, the Towers of Terror are some big girls, Lola’s a dense thing and Luna’s just big.  I’m glad you like Johann, it was really all Dan on that, I think almost exactly so I know he’ll appreciate that. Johann though is not a popular guy in the Rival Angels universe.  Why?  well, you’ll have to keep reading. Good observations and thoughts on this match. You’re right MGC, these are the heavy artillery and Brooke’s job is on the line.  I’m glad you enjoyed the Voting Incentives too, Jamie will be happy and maybe if you ask him nice enough, he’ll draw Jen Needles in a Red Sonja outfit. :P LOL  Yeah, Brooke’s hair is back to normal, though it looks kinda good…?  Sabrina can’t wrestle in a cape, do you know how badly she’ll get thrown around by that?  The tiara is a bad idea too, as she’d probably lose it at the start of the  match. I’m glad you liked the entrance music of the Towers Of Terror, I knew it’d be perfect for them.  They are NOT rookies and have been around for a while.

    JackAce, good looking out about the goings on in the Webcomic verse!  The Towers Of Terror are in their usual outfits, they’re not ones to get into the spirit of anything, unless its beating up pretty blondes. ;)  I can see why you don’t like managers, and you’re really not going to like Johann.  That being said, I think they’re doing their job (in general) if they’re getting that kind of reaction out of you, good or bad.
    bd, you betcha we’ll be seeing managers in the future.

    Jamie, you are bringing up some wisdom there….HART ATTACK!  I thought that was such a cool move before the advent of the spotfest. Glad you like Johann, I know Dan will appreciate that. ;)  Johann is hilarious!  Thanks again for the Voting Incentive of Sassy Schoolgirl!

    Adon, I totally noticed too, that managers have fallen out of fashion, so to speak.  I think maybe its because the new generation of manager isn’t up to par with the greats that you mentioned.  Really you need a manager these days if a guy can’t get over on his own, like when Brock needed Heyman or when Hector was put with LAX.  And yeah, the Midnight Express would’ve been NOTHING without Cornette and Heenan was enough to get anyone over. There was never a doubt that he was HOF material.

    I hope “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini, get tip though.. it’s rare occassion that I’m helping “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini..

    Lola is dense, while Luna is just big and tall.. avoid Lola, she sure can put a lot of pain.. just simple avoid her.. if Zombie Luna’s in, target Luna’s knee make her kneel down, Sabrina must use her speed to attack Luna’s knee. maybe used ultrakick on the knee, then Ultrakick Luna’s face.. then quickly go for the “Ultrasplash” .. Sabrina can also target Lola’s knee or the arm too.. if Sabrina did this, surely they win..but Brooke must participate n this match.. Brooke can used her power to destroy them..Brooke flex her muscle at episode 38.. showing her muscle, why not here?  if Brooke made a great offense her, I’ll cheer for her, if not.. sorry.. I’ll cheer for “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini.. 
     
     
    Becare “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini, don’t be weaken by their power moves.. if you need a time to rest, go outside the ring but just stay near Brooke (really have no other way) or maybe a force tag to Brooke. unless “Shinobi” “Lil Dragon” Sun Wong is around.

    Brooke, must I mean REALLY MUST help “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini here.. even though just interrupt the pin attempts..

    Maybe Brooke brought her brass knuckles here, so Brooke can simple said “Shazam!” then punch Zombie Luna on the face, then quickly cover.. 1….2….3…. hahahahha…

    Facing a power team is always tough because they’re fairly difficult to isolate and keep down, a manager to the mix is going to make it even more agravating for Sabrina, especially considering who she’s teaming up with.

    Quick tags would be a way to go under normal circumstances, utilising the 5 second rule to have the numbers game combat the pure strength but with a reluctant partner… She’s really just got to stick and move, and if she’s determined to go from the top rope to a standing opponent, do it feet first. A cross-body or seated senton attempt can go oh so horribly wrong against power-style opponents.

    best to go like M.G.C said, for the legs, a couple of suprise sweeps to keep them off vertical base for a start and work from there.
