Chapter 7 , The Rival Angels Halloween Special written by Dan Head and everything else by yours truly. 
 I’ve known Dan for like, 5 years or something virtually and this isn’t the first time we’ve worked together so it was a lot of fun working with him again, even if its just for a little bit. I’m sure I can talk him into doing some more Rival Angels again in the future.
It was hard trying to line this up so that it would fall around Halloween, and its going to run a little over, I hope you’ll forgive me.
For those that haven’t guessed, Sabrina is dressed as She-Ra, Princess of Power!! Yes, I know some of you guessed it, you’re very smart. Brooke, I don’t blame anyone for not guessing that she’s dressed as a variation of the new Mary Marvel . Yes, the wholesome good girl gone bad. No need to read into anything here with Brooke and dressing as a bad Mary Marvel. Great nod to Justin Riley (of the Rival Angels booking team ) for the suggestion here though I took it upon myself to alter Mary Marvel’s costume to reflect Brooke’s attitude. So, what do you all make of their costumes?
Brooke’s attitude is a little worrying considering that she needs a win in this match to keep her job. Maybe she’s hoping that Sabrina does all the heavy lifting? Or maybe, if she looks fabulous enough, that will be enough for her to keep her job, win or lose? Or both? Neither? We’ll have to keep reading to find out methinks…
And for those that want to get a glimpse of Brooke and Sabrina’s opponents, the voting incentive is still up.

So apparently Sabrina also don’t think too much about Brooke’s wrestling skill. Sabrina knew that she will be the one who must do all of this work here while Brooke will just become ‘the eye candy’.
It was like Sabrina thinking ‘I’m better than Brooke in terms of wrestling skill’.

Wohoooo!!! I never thought of Brooke cosplay as (Evil) Mary Marvel.. Sabrina and Brooke Cosplays… yeah!! Sabrina as She-ra.. excellent art. I love it.. Brooke.. ah? why the pony tail?
So Sabrina is a She-ra fan? and Brooke as Mary Marvel fan? coz I think people cosplay who they like, and must know some insights of the series they’re cosplaying..

Panel 4: Brooke said “if you want, you can do all the wrestling.” is she saying that, this is will be ultra hard work for Sabrina.. then Brooke said “just let me get out there and shake my ass a little” if Brooke gonna do that, Better off firing her.. Dammit Brooke.. We came here to see.. Brooke destroy or Brooke got destroyed, I didn’t want to see Brooke shake her ass.. COME ON!!!

I kinda expect Sabrina would cosplay as “Supergirl” (Kara-Zor El) while Brooke as Rangiku Matsumoto (Anime Bleach).. not still Sabrina really cosplay here excellent here.. excellent choice.. Sabrina as She-ra..Â
Ah? where is Sun and Krystin? is Sun and Krystin in the Angel Dome? coz I know even if they’re not schedule to wrestle.. should they be in the arena too?
I kinda doubt it.. Booke is serious. looking at her Mary Marvel.. ahhh!!big difference thought, Mary Marvel wears a Black shirt with a yellow lightnig sign (Like Black Adam) it’s like she just made that up.. I like Sabrina here..cosplay as She-ra, with props… that’s a cosplay..

She’ll be fine until the final bell rings, then Brooke will probably turn on her, or possibly wait for the heat of her poor won/loss record to pass.
ps2kid, Gregory Helms compels you!! Â Sabrina’s main gripe is that Brooke isn’t taking the match as seriously as she should, bringing up memories of how great a tag team partner Brooke is from her match with Krystin against the Catgirls.
Nice! I’m so not up on my DC. Never would’ve thought of that. Halle Berry’s Catwoman was the other I was thinking of. Ha! In panel 2, Brina’s feather things look like pit hair.
Question: will Brooke’s top last the entire match?
Interesting how Brooke didn’t learn with her tag with Krystin to, y’know, prepare for your match…

Well whether she likes to admit it or not, she needs Sabrina’s help to keep her career so she actually has to help out during the match, then also Sabrina does have friends, when Brooke stabs her in the back she’s got more problems than solutions.

Well, the crowd might be temporarily impressed by that, but I don’t think Commisioner Gabrielle would. After all, this is a wrestling league, not a beauty contest. And as with pretty much every other aspect of show business, beauty can help you get in, but you actually need to show some useful performance to sustain a lasting carreer.

She’s a little thick, eh JackAce? Brooke’s definitely got to impress Gabrielle, or its back to developmental or worse. There’s a lot of way that Brooke can help herself, the question is, will she?

So this story. was written by Dan Head..while Albone did the art.. So the She-ra and Mary Marvel was also Dan Head’s idea right? and also Brooke’s outfit was also Dan Head’s idea?
I’m beginning to wonder if Brooke has become too stupid to live.
What I mean is this: her job is in peril. She’s literally in her ‘last chance’ situation, where she needs to put on a good performance or it’s back to the developmentals for her. If she had half a brain, she would be completely focussed on this match.
Instead? She’s flippant and wants to kick back and let Sabrina be the workhorse. Does she think that would go unnoticed? I mean, if I were in the commisioner’s seat, I would be more likely to give her a chance if she lost but put on a strong effort and showing than I would if she got a win on a technicality where she didn’t actually do much.
It’s just… Brooke is in a position where she can’t afford to coast, and she’s all but stated her intention of doing that. The fact that it has been spelled out to her that she’s in a must win situation and she’s being so flippant about it just seems fantastically stupid to me.
MGC, actually dressing Sabrina as She-Ra was my idea. Justin Riley had the idea of dressing Brooke as Mary Marvel. You got it right though about Dan doing the writing and me doing the rest. Dan’s vision for Luna and Lola was all him, I just did the icing on the cake. XD
Adon, you make some good points here. The problem with Brooke is she’s so stubborn she thinks that her current call to action is the best one, look over substance. Add the fact that she’s relying on Sabrina, someone she’s trying to get canned and someone that she thinks she’s better than, her ego is causing her to make some not-so-great decisions. We’ve seen before how seriously she takes tag matches (with Krystin) and even with her job on the line, its still business as usual.
I hesitate to comment on this stuff, but… Brooke thinks that he best chance to keep her job is to shake her ass and thereby get over with the crowd. She thinks–perhaps correctly, perhaps not–that if she can get people to cheer for her and buy her T-Shirts, then the boss will want to keep her. Because then they’ll be making money with her.
I don’t know what Mary Marvel is supposed to look like beyond M.G.C.’s link, and her hair is pink there. I can understand Brooke not dying her hair, but she could have gotten some colored hair-spray-stuff (don’t know what it’s called) and washed it out after. It powders when it drys and can be a bit of a mess; but, if the pink hair is standard, it would have been nice for her to put in a little effort.
On another note, it would be interesting if Sabrina won the match without much help from Brooke, and then the Commish canned her because she didn’t win the match.

A Mouse, ah, that’s an interesting thought there about the outcome of the match in that scenario. Hmmmm. You make a valid point about Brooke and the hair spray dye, but really, Brooke’s not one to indulge like that especially for the sake of the fans. She’s figuring that people are going to be focused on her skin anyways.
