Without picking too much, I finally figured out what about the con-chair-to I found off: Katherine's grip on the chair, her hands should be reversed.  The force of the blow is coming right-to-left, so her right hand should be on top.  like in baseball. For the record, I think Monica asked them specifically just because they were there.  They're the ones present watching her loaded into the ambulance, so they're the ones who get her "Where were you when I needed help" spiel.
