Thanks for your well thought comments, Roller Derby Fan! I'm really pleased with how the page is received, and not from a ego standpoint, but relieved that I didn't make the page confusing. :P I really do try and leave some room for the reader to interpret just because your imaginations are so powerful. Gotta use it. And I'm also glad that not showing every moment is working out because that helps in keeping the story flowing. Pain stars and lighting bolts to come! ;) And about the steel chair... they've showed up in the first two fight cards, can a trifecta of steel chairs be off the mark? And thanks for the voting plug, I really appreciate it!
;)

Thanks for weighing on A Mouse on who you like in Rival Angels. Sabrina and Sun seem to be fan favorites and for good reason. More to come on Krystin too, but not so quickly. And thanks for sharing about the page too. Comments can only help me. So keep reading and commenting and I'll keep the Rival Angels ride rolling along!

I've never been good at picking a favorite, but I do like Sabrina and Sun. I don't like Brooke and Vincent. And I'd like to learn more about Krystin.

I agree with Roller Derby Fan; showing the highlights of action is good. Showing every single move would get tiresome. Each shot on this page shows action; it implies what comes before and after. It's very dynamic. Keep up the good work, Albone.

I see the announcers have another duty: timekeeping. From their remarks we see the panels are taking place in fairly rapid sequence. Very good depiction of flowing motion without resorting to cliches ( blurred images, 'speed' lines, etc as seen in The Flash comic )

Good title... each girl attempts, and gets out of, two holds. The most awesome hold break is Sabrina in panel six; it is clear she went from pure reflex as there is no time to think this out.

Some of the action is left to the viewer to imagine... Sabrina is keying up to leap to her feet in panel seven; we don't need to see this to know this has happened by panel eight. The announcers tell us about the transition between panels three and four; evidently Sabrina has pulled Loretta to the floor. Between panels four and five Loretta spins counterclockwise to scissor Sabrina... again we don't see this but we know it happens ( if Lorettta had gone clockwise it would have taken too long and Sabrina could roll out of it ).

A lot of the facial expressions seem right out of stage acting... the highlighted body language conveys what each girl feels whitout resorting to thought boxes ( besides, the girls don't have time to think ).

Neither girl seems to have hit the other very hard... this is shaping up to be an endurance contest at this point. Later they will take hits and whichever can stay focused and want to win will have the advantage. I think an opportunity to illustrate increasing pain intensity is coming up...

As to M.G.C.'s comment on Loretta giving up... not for a while yet. This isn't an overconfident Brooke and Krystin vs the Catgirls, this is Loretta who can't stand Sabrina and is no doubt ticked she's not featured on the billboards and commercials. Loretta isn't quitting short of LOTS of little pain stars and thunderbolts coming from everywhere on her body.

If the match goes on evenly for a while, or if Sabrina looks to be winning, I'd like to go on Steel Folding Chair watch. I'm not sure *who* would pull this stunt, but the Stark Chair of Displeasure is likely to appear in these circumstances...

Stay tuned, and keep on votin', folks!

Thanks for the comments Rod and for weighing on some of the questions I threw out. I appreciate it. I'm hoping that Sabrina/Loretta IV is the best match yet!

Well, MGC, I'm not above finishing a match like that, so it certainly could happen. It would take a great deal more than being in Loretta's hometown for Sabrina to get booed. I'm sure Loretta would go out of her way to get the crowd against her anyways. :P But as we know, Sabrina feeds off of the crowd and I do believe we'll get an answer to the question eventually of what Sabrina's reaction will bee if she's not cheered.

Speaking of grudge match.. I don't know. I just thought of this, Sabrina VS Loretta won't end at this point. since it's a grudge match, I really think there will be a rematch happen. and I just thought of this ending. could it be. Sabrina VS Loretta's match end up in double count out. I don't know.. I just thought some weird stuff happen in wrestling. so in that case both Loretta and Sabrina won't fight Jennifer Needles. :D

I kinda thinking of Sabrina being booo'ed by the crowd, if the match happen to be on Loretta's home town.. I really really like to see Sabrina's reaction there.. :D
