Thanks Keith, karma will now reward you handsomely. Thanks for the kind words. :)

Hey Roller Derby Fan! Woundsday... LMAO! Thanks for the comments on the page. Loretta's outfit did slightly change from solid black to deep dark red, but I think going forward its going to be more black. It WAS an attempt to simulate different lighting, but I think the all black works a bit better. Thanks for your thoughts on the first 100 pages. I like the idea you have for the wide shot/instant close ups especially for the battle royal. Showing some of the advertising stuff is another good idea too. Thanks again!

This episode follows the Rival Angels storytelling conventions spot on. Panel two has the unconventional point of view, panel three is going to be a classic with its Confidence vs Arrogance theme, panels four and five feature the color coded impact effects and panel five again has captured the sheer intensity of Sabrina's slap.
Think about it: you've got all these elements in one image: Sabrina is moving forward, Loretta is reeling back, both girls are moving, and the emotions come through, all in one simple drawing. Wow!!

The announcers are staying on message, ( "Loretta's gonna win" ) that's gonna change as this grudge match continues.

Loretta's costume seems to have changed color. It was black in ep 95 and now its not. Is this after the color correcting lights for TV recording are turned on? I have some experience with studio photography and have seen first hand how different lighting affects the images.

Ahhh, as to the quiz:

Favorite storyline: Sabrina becomes Ultragirl, not just as a billboard picture or in a TV spot, but inside herself.

Favorite character: Sun. She is at this point the 'funnest'. She has a spark, a vitality, that the other Upstarts don't.

Least liked: That's a toughie. I don't care for either Brooke or Commissioner Gabrielle, who both share a habit of plotting unpleasant things, but these events will make for better drama.

Things to do better: boy that is a toughie!! I know that making a comic that looks this good yet looks so simple is not easy, I certainly could not draw this well. The perspective has gotten much better, the character's arms look right when pointing toward the viewer.

Things to see: Additional dynamic portrayals of action, what if we saw a punch from the point of view of the fist? Seeing things reflected in an extreme close up of someone's eye? The upcoming ten way match is going to be a challenge ( the Battle Royal ) and will need innovative ways to help the reader keep track of all ten girls. I think one approacjh would be to use a lot of wide panorama panels with little action insets to illustrate dramatic moments, this method would simulate the TV coverage. Think of a basketball game on TV, lots of wide shots with instant closeups of basket shots and fouls. Perhaps 'closeup action boxes' sort of like speech baloons illustrating a closeup in a larger panel? I suppose I could draw a mockup as this would be much easier to describe in a stetch.

Other things to see... match programs, TV commercials, the background stuff. Maybe have the upstarts leave a radio playing and an over the top radio spot ( "TONIGHT!!! Will Ultragirl hammer the Carpenter?? BE THERE!!!" ) gets Brooke seething even worse...

Onward to Wednesday! ... or is it Woundsday?

I can safely tell you that Loretta would not start a match with the Hell's Belles by shoving them. To be fair to Loretta, Sabrina doesn't have the reputation of the Hell's Belles either. Loretta is also taking into account the amount of times she's beaten Sabrina before.
