One more time! A good laugh for our Upstart girls and its much needed because you never know when we’ll be able to see this again.
Sun and Sabrina are probably a bit crazy for jumping off the roof of their house into the pool for a laugh. If Sun and Sabrina tag together, this might be a precursor to a finishing move! 
I was inspired by stories of the Hardy Boys along with Edge and Christian as they would leap from the third story of their motel room into snowbanks for fun. Loony if you ask me. 
As I was getting to before this may be the last time we see the Upstarts laughing about as come next update wrestling’s back! Krystin and Brooke vs The Catgirls! Sun vs Sassy Schoolgirl Valentine! Sabrina vs Loretta, winner gets into the TV tournament! AND the very first match of the Television tournament! I’m not saying who starts it off, but its one of the Hell’s Belles…

I really like the Tsunami.. Sun doing a swanton bomb. she’s really like high-risk moves. I wonder why, Sabrina didn’t do the ultrasplash. it very nice to see the ultrasplash again.
Panel 1: Look at the power/strenght of Brooke. another gorilla-press slam on Krystin.
This is the first we see grumpy Krystin, laugh..
Sun vs Sassy Schoolgirl Valentine..thinking about it, I will give this win to Sun.. I hope there will be a status about this girl, is she a rookie? or a jobber? looking on Sara Valentine, she loves to cheat, I mean use weapons. this is great test for Sun.
maybe Sabrina will help Sun.. Sun will say “Sabrina… GET THE TABLES!!” HAHAHHA..it’s just a joke. anyway this will be a great match..
WAAA!!! The first match will be one of the Hell’s Belle… Thinking…hmmm… I guess it’s Jennifer Needles or maybe “The White Queen” Chloe.. nice.. I hope she win.. I wonder who’s the Hell’s Belle opponent?
I agree, in Krystin opinion, she might be/can be the leader of the upstarts.
Panel 4: I wonder if Krystin, respond on Brooke’s high five? or did Krystin splash water on Brooke. Krystin said to Brooke “screw yourself”
Panel 1: the gorilla press slam, I think it would be better Brooke Gorilla press slam Sabrina. so Brooke will intimidate Sabrina.

Loved the tsunami, even though those girls are crazy. Poor Krystin ain’t gettin’ no love being blindsided like that.
In the first panel I’m trying to figure out how Brooke’s top is staying on her on the left side. Again, I like the picture in picture. I thought it was funny that it was over Brooke’s face; I imagine she’s covering it so she doesn’t get waterlogged. In the last two panels it looks like someone’s swimsuit is riding up.
So, we’re about to leave the lightheartedness and get back to the seriousness. Well, it was nice while it lasted, but we can’t stay here at this place in the story forever. Gotta get back to the training (and the wrestling). The big question is whether Sabrina has gotten enough ‘rest’ yet.

Speaking of Tag team on Sun and Sabrina. If they’re going to be on Tag Team division, I think one of them must change finishing move. I mean like Sabrina will use the superkick then Sun quickly execute the atomic elbow. I really missed the double teamed finishing moves, like the Legion of Doom, Steiner Brothers.
in Krystin and Brooke tag team, I would like to see Krystin making one of the catgirls tap.. Brooke executed the vertibreaker on Snowkitten, then Krystin tag Brooke. Krystin applied the crippler crossface on the fallen Snowkitten. while Brooke punched Rose Ryoko on the corner, I think will make snowkitten tap. but I think planning and practicing will be good in them so they can really know when to get in, and trusting each other.
Yes MGC, this IS the first time we get to see Krystin laugh!
We’ll find out more about Sara Valentine as it draws nearer to the the match between her and Sun. Yeah, Valentine does resemble Candy Cane but the schoolgirl is more of an archetype. I visited some adult costume stores for the right inspiration for Valentine. Chloe is NOT in the Television Tournament but expect her to still be in the spotlight.
If Brooke and Krystin are successful as a tag team then I could see them pursuing that, as long as they could get along well in the ring.
Sabrina and Sun have too much going for them in singles competition to devote themselves to the tag team division. I do have a finishing move that they’d use though.
Haha A Mouse! Glad you liked the Tsunami! Personally, I think its crazy to jump off of a house into a pool, but its Sun and Sabrina for you. Eeep, looks like I missed on the bikini strap in the first panel, I’m going to go fix that up now. The lightheartedness is going away for a bit, but there’s still some good, fun (and hard) times coming!

The first thing I thought of when I saw Sabrina and Sun leaping from the roof is the Mick Foley jumping off the roof thing. But, I think I heard about E&C and the Hardys doing schtuff like that. Before Edge got stupid with Lita…
Primus, I think Brooke would wear it to the ring if she could get away with it. You won’t want to miss her outfit that she’ll be wearing in October.

Thanks for the compliment on the water, it was something new that I tried out that I’m glad worked. Yeah, Mick Foley was a crazy son of a gun, leaping off rooftops. I can’t believe he still had video of that, and then they were surprised at all of the Backyard Wrestling copycats. HA! Edge is a tool. He’s a great on-screen villain but I think what he did with Lita makes him a douche.
Totally. Will the upcoming matches all be shown in their entirety or will it just be highlights?
Final note for the upstart girls..
Krystin and Brooke..
Trust your partner, always help each other. endurance still is the key. Krystin and Brooke are great in individual match, use it against the catgirls. isolate one of them. constantly tag your partner, so she can develop trust.
Sun
Just becareful.. High risk manuver would make Sun loss the match. sneak attack once or twice.. don’t use it often. if Sun feel’s she need a rest. go out of the ring take a breather, and don’t forget the mist. always use it for backup, or powder to the eye..
Lastly Sabrina..not really like her to win.. but I like her beat Loretta, maybe this my first and last advice to Sabrina. so she can gain confidence against stronger foe. learn from the past, how Loretta beat Sabrina. show no fear this time Sabrina, dominants is the key. Make Loretta pay.. and no more crowd pleasing, that might cost you the match. Have no fear Sabrina.. Coz your “ULTRAGIRL”
So on the next update.. IT’S CLOBBERING TIME…

Panel 5: I hadn’t noticed Sabrina’s tatoo before; I wonder what the Chinese characters mean?
I know a lady at work that has an ideogram tatoo on her ankle, she says it means ‘Love’ but a Chinese- speaking gentleman informed us ‘uh, not exactly” but wouldn’t tell us what it does mean!!
Once again, the composition and coloring are first rate. Alan, you understand how things look in the artistic style your art uses and everything fits together. ( I hope that makes sense, it’s the best way I could think of to express it )
Jamie, a little bit of both actually. The first few matches will be abbreviated with the high points of the match. As we work our way to the main event, we’ll see more of the matches.
MGC, I think the girls appreciate the advice on their upcoming matches.
Roller Derby Fan, good eye! Sabrina’s tatoo means ‘Balance.’ I was going to go with serenity but I thought that might be fan-boyish of me to have a nod to a short lived TV show. Thanks for the compliments on the page, I’m happy you enjoyed it.

I agree that it’s crazy to jump off the roof. I didn’t expect the lightheartedness to last for long, but it was nice to have an interlude. Ditto on the water looking good. Brooke’s top in the last panel looks like it’s riding up, too.
