The Lil Dragon Sun Wong vs Sassy Schoolgirl Sara Valentine is under way! If this match were decided on points, I’d say that Sun’s up by a few. Last match, Krystin and Brooke were caught unprepared which lead to their fall. Here, it seems that the experienced vet Sara Valentine got caught off guard either by overconfidence or lack of faith in Sun’s ability.
A poke in the eye to start the match is a good way to get a leg up. Sun still seems to have her fans despite her occasional breakage of the rules. What do you think? Are you still behind Sun or are you expecting ‘more’ out of her?
And in case you’d like to see that bad ass kick in panel 2, its all of 5 seconds on youtube:

EDIT: Don’t forget to check out the Voting Incentive, all the way from London, England, Bombshell Victoria Buckingham! Â You’ll see more of her in the Television Tournament.
Voting Incentive!
Another new wrestler, Bombshell Victoria Buckingham, who hails from London, England. Check out the new voting incentive to get a look at this entrant into the TV Tournament. She’s a taller wrestler, and her finisher is the Uranage Backbreaker, or as Victoria calls it, the Buckingham Bounce. Her entrance music of course, is London Bridge by Fergie.

Ouch. Not such a great debut as a tag team for Krystin and Brooke. Like Dawn (the commentator in gold) suggests, it might ‘ve been in their best interests to work out a better strategy than winging it. In this instance, experience won out over size and power, and as they say, there’s no substitute for experience. The Catgirls are wily veterans and proved it against an inexperienced team. And in case you’re wondering, Brooke is the one that cried her surrender.
So where do Krystin and Brooke go from here? They’ve yet to notch a victory in Rival Angels and that’s not a good thing when ratings, points and merchandising is considered. We’ll be seeing more of Krystin and Brooke before the fight card is over.
Next update, Lil Dragon Sun Wong vs. Sassy Schoolgirl Sara Valentine and some of you have already predicted a big win for Sun. Is it big love for Sun, or lack of confidence in Sara Valentine that would make you come to that conclusion?
A break from the action as Sabrina is confronted with her attitude following the last fight card and was coming out of it on her own, but let’s see what a talking to from her mentor, Marina can do. One of the more talky pages and not much to be said for Sabrina except she knows when to be quiet and listen especially since it can be hard to listen to criticism.
This page was written mostly by my good friend, Justin Riley and its always a pleasure to work with him, even on a limited basis like a page. He’s also been a great sounding board and I’ve literally rambled on and on about Rival Angels with him. Look for some more work from him in the future as he’s writing a story about Sun’s early days. And he just had a baby, so congratulations on little Niamh Karen Rose Riley!
This happens to be one of my favorite pages so far. I like how my art looks and I like the colors. And it looks like someone is getting worked over in the TV screen but its nigh impossible to figure out who or what’s going on. Never fear, we’ll be diving back into the wrestling action on Monday!
