Chapter: Chapter 13 - Hostile Intent
Characters: Chloe De Sade, Jennifer Needles, Kat Smith, Kyra Gold, Nikki Foxx, Sabrina Mancini, Sun Wong, Yvonne Carmichael
Location: Angel Dome arena
Wait! What just happened? Why is Jennifer’s face all green? Who’s that mystery person in the last panel? Maybe Charon from ShadowGirls? And why is Sabrina laughing when she’s obviously exhausted?
Talk about flipping the script! Whatever is going on, it’s got the Belles off balance. Jen’s bawling and Chloe and Kat are shocked. Man, it is just so unclear as to what’s going on!

Wow, Rival Angels got nominated for THREE different awards! Best Comic, Best Longform and Best Character (Sabrina!). It’s, uh, some wickedly fierce competition there so it’s an honor just to be nominated.
YAY SUN!!!!!!!!!! *marks out* This is exactly what I was hoping would happen! *offers a TNA “this is awesome” chant* Man this is gonna be a LONG weekend to wait until Monday. But I love this, great stuff man!
YESSSSSSSS*cough* I mean splendid, things are about to get a little more chaotic in RA universe, but on the plus side Jennifer could win a She-Hulk look alike contest right now. Love the facial expression in the last frame and Sabrina’s comment lol. This a shake up for both HB and Damage Inc concerning their overall plans, which can only mean pain and trouble for Sun and Sabrina to come. I think today is a very telling incite into both the character Sun and her friendship with Sabrina. That despite some really bad patches she willing to risk her personal standing with her new stable, to help a true friend. Sun maybe a free spirit and have a loner mentality, but she will fiercely defend those that are important to her. Sun has crossed the boss and there is going to be hell to pay, I really can’t wait to see what happens next. If this just the build up to the PPV, I am really gonna need to work on speeding up time for story arc cause I have a feeling that arc is going to be wild ^.^.

Nah it can’t be Charon, Bitch isn’t implanted across Chloe’s face…yet. Yeah Boss may not be happy but Sun is gonna do what she wants to do. It’s not in her nature to follow a boss. Sabrina knows what the misting means and her look is priceless. It’s a great look of regaining a friend. Yet alas Sabrina isn’t going to be any help. Any other upstarts want to join the Party? Be proud your strip makes people wish for Mondays. I love it Sun’s way to Ninja for Damage inc to stop her. Sneaky lil thing. Jennifer shouldn’t cry to much, being a redhead we look good in green…Perhaps not a green nasty mist to the face *snicker* Great! I can’t wait to get all the other comments.
Let it never be said that Sun can’t make an entrance. It seems she’s retained some of those shadow powers she picked up when she tagged with Becka against Brooke and Mother Hydra. She has truly become ninja. As if Sun’s appearance in the last panel wasn’t cool enough, I think Sabrina’s reaction really ties the whole thing together. Very nice work.
On a side note, tickets for the back to back Shimmer shows in April go on sale Sunday, will you be attending, Albone?

Even if it means the odds are gonna improve (Damage Inc will certainly have a grudge against Sun and Hell’s Belles will carry on against Sabrina), I’m sure both Sabrina and Sun will strengthen from the opposition. Way to go girls!
(And I’m still praying that Brooke will find the light and start moving her butt to the gym and her smarts to the mat… She deserves better than what she’s got!! 😉 )

I just don’t have a lot of time these days; otherwise I’d comment more often.
I just have to applaud the very dynamic expressions of shock and surprise that’s in just about every episode lately. It’s not just facial expressions, its also in stance and posture ( the whole person is surprised, not just their face, make sense? ). Anothe thing: the more rapid pacing helps move the story along better, that was a good decision.
The art continues to improve; the people and settings exhibit shading and highlights as real people and things do. Is Sabrina wearing a push up top? She seems to have gained a cup size since the comic began though not to Brooke’s proportions. Or is she drawn that way for better definition for the resolution of computer monitors?

yes Sun’s ninja powers seem to have been upgraded. sneaking out of the Damage Inc lockerroom with no one noticing (when at last time we saw her Sun was standing in front of everyone). Green Mist of doom on jen coming from one direction while the Shadowninja appears out of nowhere from behind.Even Brina doesn;t know Sun’s there but at least knows what’s going on.
i expect a Chloe/Yvonne stable head conclave after this incident to discuss “the unfortunate turn of events involving a member of Damage Inc.”. now the question becomes- does Yvonne leave Sun out to dry and claim just the new girl not quite settled in yet afterwards? order the troops in for support (to go along with my theory Yvonne’s after Brina too and gets brownie points by helping)?
a Sun/Jennifer match up after this would make sense barring any sort of Chloe/Yvonne treaty. though of course that could be the result of the treaty as well.
ROFL! I love it! I knew that Sun and Sabrina couldn’t stay mad at each other for very long. As for the minion comment that’s just priceless. Reminds me of the Overlord video game where when you select them they say their colour. Her’s would be “Green!”
As for Sun, she’s going after the one holding Sabrina and then they are both going to deck DeSade 🙂 Or really embarass her 🙂 Either way I love it.

jabberwocky, as the saying goes, ‘things will never be the same again.’ 😛 Sun is risking a lot; her standing with the stable she always wanted to be a part of and what they might do because of her actions now. But, she couldn’t bear to see her BFF getting the beatdown so Sun’s doing what she does best. er, I mean, if that is really Sun LOL Definitely more to come in this one.
MGC, it’s true that Sun does not have an opponent for the PPV yet. Of course, who knows if Jen will be in any shape to fight. First, the fire breathing and now the misting, she might not want any of Sun. 😉
Vekara, that is summed up nicely. Sun’s gotta do what Sun’s gotta do which includes acknowledging what’s really important to her. Also, Sun is taking the outlook of it’s ‘easier to get forgiveness than it it is to get permission.’ Glad you are looking forward to Monday! It’s another doozy. 😀
Hey Chris! I’m very proud of that last panel. 🙂 Even though they haven’t been on the same page in a while, Sun and Sabrina look ready to pick up where they left off. That is, if Sabrina weren’t dead tired. Heh, maybe Sun did keep some Shadow powers, eh? lol Thanks for the heads up with SHIMMER. I didn’t know that the tickets were going on sale this weekend. I have to double check my schedule (C2E2 is the following weekend) but I think I’ll be there, and with another Rival Angels freebie!
Jul, I’m so happy that her appearance paid off. There’s definitely going to be consequences and repercussions for these ladies but it sure is exciting! And there are some Brooke plans in the works. Look for more her bubbly personality.

Darkmark, these girls are troublemakers like that. They know they’re outnumbered and probably in for some hard times but they got each others back. And, they have a little bit of surprise. Now, if only Sabrina can get up…
GhostEraser, good call with Sun not holding back. She normally doesn’t anyways, but she can’t afford to do so with these odds. Lil Dragons are fierce! I was hoping Sabrina’s line would sum up her take on the situation.

jpiv, Sun’s ability to sneak out of the Damage Inc locker room is a testament to how focused they were on what was going on in the ring. Sabrina beating Chloe with a stick is universally cheered in the RA locker rooms. Sun was busy though, taking out Jen and then setting up Kat and Chloe. Oooooh, some nice thinking there. If Chloe sees Yvonne, you can be sure that she’ll have something to say. Maybe they’ll both be there for the Club Redline opening that Sabrina is hosting? As to your other thoughs….. hmmmmm
Kurt, it seemed like a long time coming. 😉 Chloe has the gift of dialogue. Coincidentally, she and Brooke are always very fun to write. Not sure why. XD Nice call on who Sun is going after first and what’s going to happen. We’ll know for sure on Monday.

Quick question: I’ve kind’ve forgotten the relationship Damage inc has with the Hells Belles, are they partners or not? If so, laying out a faction by herself might actually be good for the inc if thier new recruit can take out 3 people at once with a surprise attack.

Hehe, yeah, April is indeed going to be busy, first Shimmer weekend, then C2E2, and the weekend after that is Ring of Honor. I think I’m going to shell out the $140 for front row the entire weekend.
Sun to the rescue!
MGC, I think it’s actually pretty clear why Sun wouldn’t ask Yvonne for help here… Damage Inc. have been pretty clear that they don’t like Sabrina (though Yvonne has been cagily keeping quiet on the issue since she knows it’d risk losing Sun just after they got her), and they sure as hell wouldn’t want to stick their necks out for her and make enemies out of the Belles when thus far they appear to be neutral/non-hostile towards one another. Sun hasn’t been blind to that, either, though she appears willing to tolerate it so long as they don’t push the issue.
That aside, while it’s not exactly much of a secret, I think Kat’s ‘Baby!’ is kind of removing any kind of doubt as to just what kind of relationship she has with Jennifer. Rowr.
MGC, you might get your wish. They still are outnumbered and Sabrina’s gassed. Sun is making amends for the way she handled things with Sabrina. Involving Damage Inc would kind of cheapen that, I think.

Maniac, the factions are cool towards one another. If Yvonne can help it, she avoids Chloe because she’s a nutcase. But yeah, Sun doing some damage (haha) to HB would be quite the feather in Lil Dragon’s cap.

Adon, you have definitely caught the vibe that the Nikki and Kyra have put out on Sabrina and that Yvonne has been quiet. Yvonne has her reasons. 😉 Sun knows the score, and she took the route of ‘getting forgiveness over permission’ to help out her friend. You also caught correctly the vibe between Jennifer and Kat. Okay, this may be the start of what I’ve been asking for since Sabrina and Sun’s big fight, but I can’t help but not be convinced it is until I see with my own two eyes them hugging or shaking hands or saying something or whatever. Looking forward to Monday.
I totally understand your hesitation especially because I’m purposely vague on the future. Which I do to preserve the excitement or interest, not to be mean. 😛 Definitely a LOT of different ways this could still shake out.
Boney, you could drop the bomb about Sabrina and Sun’s friendship or complete dissolution of such, any moment and I’d still be interested.
