Page 272 – Fail
Yeah, Sabrina. What were you doing coming in through the back way? First things first, the super awkward moment between these two. They can’t muster up a sound to each other. That’s not really a good sign and it shows that there’s some underlying hostility here. Then again, maybe the silence that started this off shows that they want to get past this, but it looks like it’s not happening just yet. Right now the real question is if this is going to get nasty and physical.

I Get Around
Last week I was a guest on Pond To Pond Podcast hosted by Prestwick and Jules Rivera. Â I love both of their webcomics and I really think you should check them out when you get a chance. Â Of course, after you check out the podcast that I was on. XD Â It’s about a half hour so check it out.
The sting of logic can be very strong.. I hope sabrina doesn’t take it badly and turn this into a fight esp when Sun in her clumsy way TRIED to say her sorry. I want them to make up darn it.. no face busters this time.. no whistles.. make up!!! 🙁
Well… they say a picture is worth a thousand words, and the three thousand that pass in the first three panels says more, in a lot of ways, than the rest of the page.

Sun clearly wants to apologize right away and Brina is too angry to register it. Sun sees it and shuts down, making Sabrina realize her own hurt and feel bad about her anger, leaving them both miserable.

Shame they couldn’t just keep going from there, huh? They tried to talk. That brought up who they feel like they need to be instead of who they always have been. Sunshine has her layers of self reliance and determination that makes it hard to apologize. Sabrina has her ‘I was wronged’ righteous anger. Since they’re both trying to sneak past the other, it’s pretty obvious that neither wants a confrontation and -maybe- since Sun caught Brina out on trying to be the injured party in the sneaking around bit, maybe they’ll realize it.

Although, starting another brawl, falling in the pool and ending up sputtering and laughing at it might actually work better with these two personalities. That sort of shock might be the ‘cold water’ needed to wake them up.
Yeah Salazen. That might work.

Drew, I’m right there with you, but I don’t know if it’s going to happen. Â I like to think that in the first couple of panels, they really did show they want to be friends again. Â Friday will have more, AND, I think we’ll be getting back to Monday Night Meltdown.
Hey Salazen! Â I always enjoy your comments. 😀 Â They are definitely miserable but now that’s boiling over into anger. Â The potential for reconciliation is there, as well as an all out brawl like you said. Â A dip in the pool would cool them off. Â Hot temper wrestlers! Â It’s rough because we know they want to be friends, but they still have some stuff to work through.

MGC, at the heart of it, even when Sun was laying down stinging criticism, she always had Sabrina’s best interests in mind. Â She knows lying to Sabrina was wrong, especially because she still wants to be her friend and in an unusual and awkward position. Â She’s looking for a reset button and there’s none around. Â Ah Krystin, her plan isn’t working, though there is always time for it to kick in. 😉
i believe that’s called “Touche Brina!”
don;t count Krystin’s plan out yet. for all we know she wants Sun and Brina to remain at odds and kept the fire hot by “helping them work things out” and creating a confrontation when neither seems to be over it yet thus keeping Krystin in the picture (figure she has the inside track on Brina BFF and the in-ring rub that comes with it if Sun’s out of the picture). Krystin is the tweener with heelish tendencies after all 🙂
Damn I’ve missed alot in a week. Good to be back. Everything has led up to this moment perfectly! And Sun smart enough to realize that she wasn’t the only one avoiding confrontation was brilliant. Part of me wants to see them brawl. Part of me wants to see them make up and become friends again. Either way, I think part me of will be excited and part of me will be disappointed on Friday. LOL Great stuff the last week man, sorry I haven’t been around!
We’ll see how this confrontation goes, I don’t know if it will work out or come to a fight. I think deep down they still want to be friends, but Sabrina got hurt pretty badly and I don’t know that she’ll get past that so soon.
jpiv, yeah, Sabrina got caught there, didn’t she? Â She might have an explanation, but it doesn’t look good. Â Ah, excellent point about the dubious nature of Krystin. Â She certainly was looking good in the replacement BFF spot.
RAWF, no worries, we’re open 24/7 around here. 😉 Â Glad you’re back though! Â I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the rough patch between Sun and Sabrina. Â Hopefully, there’s more excitement for you on Friday than disappointment. XD
Ken, I think they want to be friends again too but they’ve got a ways to go, apparently. Â Never can tell what’s going to happen on Friday. You can bet that they both have a lot to say.

Given the dramatic way Sun acted last night, any meeting would be awkward… but I don’t think it would escalate. Sabrina is Shout Angry, not UltraWham angry.

Is it me, or are the depictions of Sun and Sabrina faintly manga- esque in this ep? I mean that in a good way, subtle nuances in the art helps communicate the character’s moods, especially in situations where thought balloons won’t convey them.

Isn’t it obvious? Sabrina came in the back way ’cause she wanted to make sure Creepy Stalker Fanboy Vince wasn’t prowling around. Remember in RA time it hasn’t been that long ago…
I see more yelling in the future. I still don’t see them physically fighting yet, but yeah, Sabrina’s arguement kind of came back around to bite her. They still have a little bit more to work out until they can be Ultra Dragon again.
I don’t think the girls are going to get into it physically but they’re still not ready to reconcile. Even though I think each of them wants it. And would never admit it. I think they’ll reconcile in the ring, but you never know.

RDF!  Good call on the level of anger that Sabrina is feeling, which isn’t easy to do considering her short fuse.  Ah, the manga bent, I think I know what you’re saying and thanks!  Good call on  Sabrina’s true intent on going through the back XD  And it is true that time hasn’t moved that fast in the RA world.
Chris, it wasn’t the most thought out argument from Sabrina which is why I think it came back to bite her. Â UltraDragon reuniting would be awesome but I can’t promise anything. O_o
Darkmark, it’s a good call that both girls want to make up but its probably going to get worse before it gets better. Â But who knows? Â They might get it together next update!
LOL Daeron! Â An impromptu mud match outdoors would the only way it’d show up (as you can see, I’ve toyed with the idea). Â Who knew these two trying to make up would be so messy.
