Page 270 – Sex Positive
So, the talk with Brooke didn’t go over too well, did it? It’s not like Sabrina and Krystin didn’t have a good argument, it’s just that Brooke’s not ready to hear it. Maybe she’ll be more receptive after a bubble bath? I know I would be.
Wow, what a coincidence that Krystin’s phone would ring during all of this drama. We’re getting closer to revealing who the mysterious identity of the person on the other line. Think you know who it is?
And the return of Sun! Though it’s a brand new morning, it would seem her mood doesn’t reflect that. Sun’s all alone, but maybe not for long.

Voting Incentive!
Vote to see the collaboration between Shadowgirls and Rival Angels!  I’ve been a fan of Shadowgirls since I met D-Rod at Wizard World a few years ago.  This year, I was in the same aisle with D-Rod and Dave and we got to talking about a  Shadowgirls/Rival Angels Jam.  I think D-Rod brought up something before in a previous post about Lindsey and  Sun being together so we figured that’d be the way to go.  Dave floored me with an awesome picture of Lindsay so I had to make sure Sun was looking just as awesome.  He also did the coloring and dropped that too-sweet background in as well.  If you haven’t checked out Shadowgirls before, now is the perfect time to jump on.

yeah that threw me off a bit. i clicked over to Shadowgirls and the first thing i read in the panel is ‘Lil Dragon’. had to do a double take to see if i clicked the right link 🙂

MGC, I guess you’ll have to check out Shadowgirls to know for sure. 😉 Â No worries about Brooke, she left the conversation. As far as Sun being alone, does she look very happy to you? Â She’s used to being alone but after being friends with Sabrina isn’t ready to go back to that.

I am not sure even with joining a new stable to fancy rides and caviar show up at your door. I imagine being a rookie AND the new girl on the team the perks come later when shes proven herself and might not ever if she doesn’t prove herself in a major way. The penthouse is for winners she’ll get it when she proves herself over and over again imo, because right now the past means nothing.
Its honestly NOT a modern concept for women to use their sexuality to get what they want. Unfortunatly its also not a modern concept for them to be punished by the male dominated socity for it also. Also with a woman in charge its not unreasonable for when its unavoidable for the punishment to be 100% worse.. since brooke could probably not bat her eyelashes and get the problem removed.
Plus ya know.. this is wrestling.. ‘ve said hi to a couple wrestling girls in my day and they’ve all come off as super nice and friendly.. but its not like its rare for a girl to.. bat her eyelashes to the top. In brooke’s mind I guess she knows its wrong.. but has such a low self esteem about certain things that she feels its her only way to be famous. Use what got you to the dance is also NOT a modern concept in wrestling.. unfortunatly.
I think “sex-positive” would mean that you are having sex because you enjoy it. Trading sex for success in your job is riding aboard the ho train.
I’m glad we’re getting back to Sun, and it got me to check out Shadowgirls. You already got me to read the Dreamer, so I guess you’re going to keep making me spend time reading the archives of webcomics.

Drew, you got a great read on Brooke. Â There’s so many reasons that she shouldn’t be hanging out in that penthouse or even be in Rival Angels. Â Michael was the only thing that stopped her from going back to developmental. Â To their credit, they crafted the Aphrodite image and even snuck in her first win against Monica. Â That’s still a far cry from being successful. Â You said right: she needs to prove herself in a major way if she wants respect and to be successful.

Maybe if Brooke needs a win then they’d pull the fan from the crowd and start her down the path of clueless heel? Like what that Kennedy guy used to do to those poor fans in the centre of the ring…
After all Lindsey went through, I think she could take Sun. lol I don’t say that lightly, because have you seen the things the characters in Shadowgirls go through? A pro wrestler, even as good as Sun, ain’t got nothing on nobody in that comic.
